I typically agree. There's plenty of songs in games that I think set the mood perfectly and can convey emotions but don't do much for me at all as a song on their own when listened to outside the game. I have a very small selection of game music I like on it's own and it's never an entire game soundtrack, maybe a few songs here and there. An example is something like Setting Sail, Coming Home from Bastion.
