Why do they break?

Why do they break?

Because the devs think making all your tools break is somehow a good idea.

You can thank BotW for that.

Do they last long though?
I haven't gotten a golden tool yet.

I swear that game is going to ruin an entire generation of games with its retarded bullshit.

Yes. Considerably so.

What's the point of the golden axe if it can break now?

thank minecraft actually.

baaaaw babby can deal with real life mechanics because babby too used to play fortnite
baaaaaw
baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaw

>BotW invented tools durability
user i...

Because tools break. Have you used a shovel for a couple years? No, you haven’t. They break. The wood splinters, the plastic degrades or bends, the metal gets worn and bent and dull. It’s called realism.

So we can get back up again

whats the point of any of them if theyre degradable just like any other item and require better resources

is there any more efficient way to get gold nuggets than just smacking your rocks once a day? I have almost 300 hours played now and havent seen more than 10 nuggies

>Get the golden net and fishing rod immediately after they'd be of any use to you beyond a status symbol
So fucking retarded, they should be tied to fishing and bug catching tournaments

Completely pointless and not worth the gold nugget to craft more than one for the achievement. The watering can is the only golden tool with something unique to it.

It's definitely the game other Nintendo devs are currently taking inspiration from

>tfw no degrade meter for tools so you know when to customize them and recharge them
Go on Island Tours and smash more rocks for more nuggies

the only one that ever broke was the axe. This is stupid and never needed to be put into the game

>actually
Devs did the craftan survival + durability shit for a while and found it didn't work and started dropping it for other genres/ideas.
Then along comes BotW with durability and nobody liked it.
>Inb4 "I did"
You didn't like it, you merely tolerated it, cause it doesn't fucking fit in the game at all.
But because BotW did so well financially, now other games look towards it for inspiration.

Just fucking customize your tools you dumb faggots. It resets the usage counter. I've been using the same tools for weeks.

Its still annoying as hell to have to constantly patch them up.

Goodluck getting your achievement, furry

I've been dumping all my items outside in hopes to unlock the fucking terrain tools.
This shit is taking forever.

>help Gulliver 30 times
Oh man

To save me $60

This is why Wild World is the best Animal Crossing, before things started to be shat up, like grass durability.

>anything with durability

Fucking... disgusting. The only time a video game did durability correctly was Way of the Samurai 3, with its heat gauge.

It shouldn't. Try talking to Isabelle.

what does the heat gauge do?

gets hot

that's hot

Botw was good tho

BotW's durability system was fine. It was frustrating for the mid part of the game where you had a ton of good weapons but were too much of a bitch to use them. Once you realize you have an inventory full of shit you never use and get over it the game picks up again as you unleash your powerlevel on random mooks and start having fun again.
Animal crossing durability was a mistake. Its supposed to lend to the idea the idea that you're making a town from scratch on a deserted island but having all tools be breakable just adds another menial task to do in a game full of menial tasks. Its just too much.

Because gold is easy to find?

not really

I burnt like 10 NMT yesterday and barely scraped together 8 ore for the armour

So you mean you found enough gold for an entire set of gold tools? That's kind of a lot.

Yeah but that's in spite of the breaking weapons.

>8 ore in 10 trips
im lucky to find 2 in a day
