Let's imagine for a second that Sega's big incoming announcement is a new Warhammer 40k game. Describe to me what you think would be the 40k equivalent of Total War: Warhammer, (and do not say "Total War 40k" because 40k does not work in TW's gameplay). Basically a strategy title that gives people the gist of the tabletop game but in realtime.
I think whatever it (hypothetically) is, Sega will need to distance it from Dawn of War 3, so Dawn of War 4 is probably off the table unfortunately, and Dawn of War has kind of lost its identity as a series anyway.
It's not a Western product, as it's going to be announced in Famitsu magazine.
Carson Barnes
Great, so it's going to be weebshit.
Camden Scott
I want total war 40k : milky way galaxy edition, a game with actually two layers, one is the space related part and one is the ground based. basically uniting battlefleet gothic gameplay with soulstorm but on multiple planets on a supreme commander scale.
Isaiah Torres
Just give the fucking rights to Dice already, we have the technology for a Battlefield 40.000
Just imagine this but with guards and lasers and demons and orks and shit, that's all I'm asking
Dawn of War 2 is pretty much the best you'll get in terms of a 40k game. Total War doesn't work and you're fooling yourself if the COH/DOW2 cover system isn't how it should be.
Jayden Watson
There are so many developers other than Dice that could do it. I would love a Battlefield-like 40k FPS as much as anyone else but after Battlefront EA, Battlefront EA 2, and Battlefield Vagoo I do not trust Dice.
Isaiah Johnson
Just make a turn based CRPG ine the vein of Wasteland 2, but have it actually be good. Shit they already laid the groundwork for it with Mechanicus. Just build off it.
Caleb Thomas
battlefront 2 looks amazing but gameplay is not on the level of the old one
Justin Myers
Oh boy I can't wait for the millionth turn based WH40k game!
Gabriel Morales
Yeah, them epic 24v24 battles!
Hunter Garcia
GREAT so its going to be made by the artistic eye and not the SJW of the west that ruin all they touch
Charles Cox
A game like planet side 2. Massive map, multiple factions, vehicles, hundreds of players fighting over an area etc. the fan base will help with what planet side struggled with: player base size.
Oliver Clark
Hot SOB FINALLY
Jordan Ward
>WH40K company of heroes
Isn't this just DoW 1?
Asher Cooper
2
Carson Perez
Realistically, how many of them were actually good?
Andrew James
Graphical Update for Dawn of War 1 and also add tyranids
they had gold with the first game dont know why the felt the need to shit over that twice over
Chase Flores
Depends on what you mean by good. But ... maybe 2? 3 or 4 if you were being generous.

>Describe to me what you think would be the 40k equivalent of Total War: Warhammer I imagine that's how all the meetings about the "Wow-killers" that were around 2004-2012 and failed tremendously started. OP kill yourself, your way is how to design stuff to fail. SOUL-FUCKING-LESS
Asher Russell
No, the thread has ended. My planetside idea is the perfect 40k game.
Robert Cruz
Just because you retards aren't intelligent or creative enough to understand how 40k would work just fine with the Total War formula doesn't mean it wouldn't.
Sebastian Gray
Supreme Commander, but with 40k.
Oliver Stewart
It wouldn’t though
Brandon Wilson
I'm not a naysayer because of the format. I'm a naysayer because I think the engine wouldn't handle ranged combat on that scale worth a damn.
Easton Scott
We need a 30k game, not another 40k game. 40k already has Dawn of War, Gothic Armada and Deathwing. What we need is a game set either in the Great Crusade or the Horus Heresy with all 18 legions of Space Marines and their Primarch as controllable factions, either against Orks and other Xenos (Crusade) or eachother (Heresy). If people insist on a 40k game, then it needs to be a Titan Legion game, AKA a really good mech game.
this with dedicated campaigns(like the blood ravens and winter assault) to get a feel for every faction.
Leo Lopez
I know next to nothing about Warhammer 40k lore I just like the aesthetic, but just imagine a game with you playing as a space marine commanding a small team stranded on some hostile planet full of tyranids trying to fight your way to an evac point before you become overwhelmed. great opener for a game Seems like it would print money to me.
Dominic Ramirez
But it literally doesn't
Sebastian Cook
I would rather have a 40k RTS that doesn't blow chunks or a 40k L4D style game.
