RTWP ain't perfect, but Jesus fuck do I hate the "D&D is turn based" argument.
D&D used turns because you cannot reasonable adjudicate combat in real time at a table. Those turns still represent in-game real time.
Why the fuck would you, with the power now of a computer that can simulate that real-time instead of having to abstract it, choose to just keep doing turn-based because the game did it out of necessity?
RTWP was a starting point for adapting the spirit of the game with the conveniences of technology, not constricting the technology to letter of the word.
