A piece of shit game liked by subhuman Gamecube babbies

It's shit, doesn't even have fuckable characters like lady bow or bombette in PM64.

The best Nintendo RPG, followed by Paper Mario 64 of course.

It has goombella and the boo sisters tho

I played it when I was 8 and for some reason got stuck on the miniboss just before the end of the game. I've been waiting for a time to go back and play through it so I can actually see the ending.

I remember fucking adoring it but getting stuck in the Twilight town for months until a friend at school told me what to do.

Although I'm going to play through all of the Paper Mario games to write up a critical essay about the series, maybe even each one.

It's no Bug Fables but it's pretty good.

>getting stuck in the Twilight town for months until a friend at school told me what to do.
You mean the part where Koops needs to grab that key from under the fallen tree?

Can we go one thread without shitposting for attention? Please?

No, where you had to spy on the guy and enter his real name. It was a moment that stands out to me because it was before we got the internet as a household so I genuinely didn't know what the fuck to do, it's something that could never happen to me today.

I think I want to fuck Vivian.

I wasn't shitposting. TTYD is one of my favorite games, but Bug Fables improves upon it in various ways. Most importantly it's not mind-numbingly easy, the combat and battles are better designed, the party works together better than Mario and his partners, the writing is more or less on par and the side quests are actually fun.

what do you MEAN it has vivan

Oh, and backtracking isn't an issue.

It's really good. One of my favorite games. I really like its take on the Mario universe. It's got quite the lore despite it being a Mario title.
Also, the badge and battle system is so damn good. I wish the new games brought back the old combat.

Good game, but PM64 was better.

No user we cant. The fall of these threads is already in full swing. It starts with defending shitty entries for piss off people. Then falseflagging hate for TTYD will pave the way to people actually hating it without ever playing it. Might as well speed up the process and post crop'd porn to finally burn this shit down. Talking about Paper Mario is dead. Let it sleep

To see what all the hype is about I pirated the game the other night.
>Piss easy
>Way, way, way too muck fucking dialogue
>Shitty Joss Whedon tier comedy, what we now call Reddit tier humor
>The distinct impression that one or several people on the time want to fuck bugs
>DeviantArt tier character designs
>Fancition.net tier "lore"
>Endless fucking fetch quests
>The badge system breaks the game
I'm convinced people praising this game never played TTYD and can't learn how to emulate it. It's poor man's Paper Mario.

Wrong. The best JRPG period. This game balanced every JRPG element perfectly. You're not grinding for hours to stand a chance in the next stage or walking one mile per hour because you're constantly getting assraped by random encounters. This is how every JRPG should be made and anyone who thinks otherwise is a dumbdumb

damn cubies really be like that tho

The Great Gonzales!

>Piss easy
With the hard mode medal it's a perfect difficulty curve, it challenges you far more than Paper Mario ever did.
>Way, way, way too muck fucking dialogue
People said that about TTYD when it released, too. It's an RPG, read the dialogue and get immersed in the characters and stories. Maybe you're just biased for the Mario setting.
>Shitty Joss Whedon tier comedy, what we now call Reddit tier humor
The writing was fine.
>The distinct impression that one or several people on the time want to fuck bugs
Fair, but same could be said of various characters in TTYD, such as the boos.
>DeviantArt tier character designs
Not a real point.
>Fancition.net tier "lore"
Again, not a real point. Retards say this about TTYD too.
>Endless fucking fetch quests
They're far more creative and rewarding than the troubles from TTYD.
>The badge system breaks the game
Yeah totally unlike the original Paper Marios.

>I'm convinced people praising this game never played TTYD and can't learn how to emulate it. It's poor man's Paper Mario.
Nah. It's pretty much Paper Mario 2.5 but not paper and not Mario.

>Goomer
You gotta be shitting me

Any good JRPG doesn't have grinding.

It's personally my favorite game, however I do think that people overrate it and glance over its flaws, which it does have. Chapter 2, boggly woods, is complete garbage. The only fun thing about it at all is that the outside environment looks vaguely interesting. The enemies you fight are mostly generic, the puzzles are extremely simple, the pikmin control is terrible, it's filled with backtracking and the boss is generic.

Chapter 4 is also bad, but there are a few fun parts to it, particularly Doopliss. But it's full of backtracking, the haunted boo castle was already done before and there are very few noteworthy characters.

Chapter 1 is generic, outside of the hooktail fight and is a blatant rehash of the chapter from the first game. It's still a decent chapter though, it's not badly made or anything.

The reason why it's my favorite game is mainly because of Chapter 3, the glitz pit, and chapter 6 the excess express. They're both very interest twists with new settings, a fun story and interesting characters. I wish the whole game could have been like that. Instead of a lot of it being walking to the right fighting the same generic enemies until you find a boss.

Why the fuck did you just respond to me as if I misinterpreted my own fucking opinion?
I wore the challenge badge. I wasn't challenged. It's too fucking easy.
Fuck off shill.

Better than pm64 in all ways
>Muh back tracking!
You do about just as much on pm64

Fucking dumb ass

Because you did misinterpret your own opinion, faggot. All of your points can be doubly applied to TTYD, so why do you like that game?

Just search the archive for cubie. He pissed off some people in a Paper Mario thread and he's been making GameCube related threads all week just to troll.

Holy fuck, no. You cannot misinterpret your own opinion.
I pirated the game and didn't like it. I listed my reasons why.
If I appear to have liked a game made by people with more money, talent, and resources more than it despite them being similar maybe it's because one was made by professionals and the others fans? It just lacks the polish required to elevate the material and charm

One of my favorite games of all time and I still play it yearly on Dolphin with HD textures because it costs an arm and a leg on NGC
>Writing is top-tier, it's never going to be better in a Nintendo game
>Really enjoyable combat, countless different builds
>OST full of bangers, couldn't name a bad song if I tried to.
Personal favourites that no one asked for are:
-Shadow Sirens theme
-Shadow Sirens battle
-Rawk Hawk battle
-Doopliss battle
-X-Naut Fortress
-Final Bowser Battle
-Pretty much all songs related to Shadow Queen
>Perfect lenght, replayable as hell while not playable in one night
>Great character design, world building, lore and artstyle
I fucking love the black chest to the death, still makes me laugh my ass off after all these years.

I couldn't name a single bad thing about the game if it was harder (although I really struggled to finish it as a kid). There's also >le backtracking meme but Twilight Town is so comfy that I don't mind it and I've learned to take the General White quest as the obvious parody of backtracking that it obviously is. It's annoying, especially on repeated playthroughs but I love the game so much I can put up with it with ease. I just hope that Origami King can capture even a fraction of the charm of the first three games (yes, I like SPM too), even though the bland character designs and the combat seem like giant red flags.

>I only like games that Nintendo makes
Ok fag

Attached: 61542543_p0.png (750x445, 245.56K)

Only chapters with backtracking in 64 is 4 and 6 and they are still much less than TTYD's

Is OP some sort of bot?

I got stuck on the part where you have to find a ton of keys because I couldn't find the last key 15 years ago. I fired up the GameCube last year so I could finish what I started The combat had enough layers to keep me interested. I turned Mario into John Henry with the badge system. The block and parry system was kino as well, my cock swelled after on low hp I parried the dragons breath taking no damage which let me swing the finishing blow. I was never a Nintendo guy so after finishing the game I discovered there was no true sequel. Here's hoping that Origami King has even a taste of TTYD's kino.

>You cannot misinterpret your own opinion.
You can be contradictory, biased, and attempt to rationalize those contradictions and biases without making any logical sense. It's effectively the same thing.

Not what I wrote at all.
Two teams made a very similar product. I liked one more. The one I liked more had more time, effort, money, eyes, and love on the project. The fan game is a fan game.
Are you fucking serious? You tell me I don't know my own fucking opinion and then try to label me as a shill when called out?
Who the fuck raised you? Call them and apologize for how you turned out.

Attached: 1539850640044.jpg (500x500, 101.51K)

No, he got furious that his PM64 thread didn't take off because there was already a thread for it.

or you can just prefer a product made by professionals more than the fan knockoff version, you stupid fucking roach.

>furious
nigga I posted it at 5 AM my time and went to sleep, I'll post it again during a time I can be awake to talk to people. Please don't project that stuff, it makes you look like a schizo.
I'm the fourth reply to this thread, I'm just collecting people's POV on the franchise. I'll do Sticker Star and Color Splash next.

>>DeviantArt tier character designs
>>Fancition.net tier "lore"
t. Defends Origami King
Why are shitposters of this series so opposed to an ounce of personality and creativity?

>The one I liked more had more time, effort, money, eyes, and love on the project. The fan game is a fan game.
None of those points are inherently indicative of design quality. A well-designed game is a well-designed game no matter how many hands touched it or dollars funded it. Your complaints are all things that apply to TTYD moreso than BF, if you want to seem objective then you're going to have to explain why you like one in real terms but not the other. I don't think you can, because you're being completely irrational.

I'm playing it for the first time, it's a really funny game and I'm enjoying all the small interactions
>Luigi telling you at length about his own adventure complete with his own little party
I love it. That being said, I really really disliked the second dungeon with the little pikmin things, I don't mind gimmicky dungeons but that just wasn't fun, I hope the other dungeons are like this.

fpbp

aren't*

If this guy doesn't like Bug Fables he must fucking hate PM and TTYD. Not sure why he's even pretending. Obvious Nintendo shill.

>Control f
>Nobody is talking about the Origami King
Are you mentally fucking retarded? What kind of point are you attempting to make?
I didn't like the Bug game. I took the time to articulate why. I'm talking to two fans of the game who told me, and are continuing to maintain, I got my own opinion on the topic wrong.
It's fucking embarrassing.
Yeah, everything I wrote could apply to The Thousand Year Door, but it doesn't, because the Thousand Year Door is a better product made with more time, energy, and care so it avoids falling into those trappings.
Please keep telling me why my opinion, something unique to me, is incorrect, you stupid fucking retard. I'm not being irrational when I say I found the game littered with fetch quests, dialogue, and devoid of humor.
