I guess I don't have to mount vive lighthouses to the walls anymore if I get this?

Also is there any way to establish a play area if you don't have a reference point like the oculus camera or the vive base stations?

You walk around holding the headset to create a border.

What's new?

What about thhe Samsung new headset?

fuck off tyler

Ordere

still too expensive for the peruvians that infest this site

was thinking of selling my rift s if they abandoned wmr and the valve collab meant it was a steamvr headset but it's not worth paying an extra $300. shitty wmr software, worse controllers, have to put up with revive jank to play oculus games, and i strongly dislike the open headphones because hearing your surroundings is incredibly immersion killing.

>not knuckles
Had one job, fuck WMR, VR is a dead platform and everyone will jerk about Mobile AR

I don't know much about this headset besides the fact that it's inside-out tracking and supposedly runs at 90Hz. Why buy this over the Index?

Just a shame that inside-out tracking would make body tracking harder.

a bit cheaper, really good screens
otherwise its just a middle ground between RiftS and Index, plus some people really like inside-out

vr glasses with these specs when?

Never, we'll have literal eye implants before that happens

Why would you pre-order? There's a chance it will have bugs and other issues you idiots

When new VR hardware comes out you should always wait a month or so. It's around that time you start to see competent reviews, rather than ones from people who try it on for an afternoon and put a video out in time for the launch week.

Never, we'll all be replaced by industrious clones who have no need of entertainment before that happens

industrious clones who have no need of entertainment when?

Just as soon as we finish these trial runs of the 'world depopulation project' and the most optimal genetic sequences acquired from ancestry.com are isolated and spliced into the ubermensch

>90hz
>inside out tracking
>no eye tracking

Eye tracking should be a next gen standard by now. Too many benefits.

Not happening soon in any big way, everyone's struggling to make current generation tech more affordable/robust. Not looking to jam more unproven doodads with zero dev support that'll spike the price of the HMD.
Maybe you retards should stop looking at VR and instead look at cryogenics because clearly the cutting edge is not enough

Anyone used Oculus medium? Is it worth the zuckbucks?
Want to try out some VR modelling software.

They sold it to Adobe so they will probably charge you again in the future if you pay now

Zuck sold it to Jewdobe because it's too intensive for Quest to run and he doesn't want to give people any reasons to not use a Quest

I just ordered a rift s from oculus when it came back in stock briefly yesterday. I don't think my laptop's 2060 will like the reverb g2. RTX 2080 recommended seems kind of insane.

It's nice but I'm not used to voxel sculpting.
