What's the appeal of a shooting system where your crosshair is useless most of the time? I understand with practice you can be accustomed to it, but from a design standpoint, that sounds counter-intuitive to me. Can someone tell me of the appeal? This is a serious question and i'm not even trying to bash the game.
What's the appeal of a shooting system where your crosshair is useless most of the time...

You feel pro having to learn the recoil patterns of the different guns.
can confirm
>where your crosshair is useless most of the time?
It isn't, your crosshair just represents a focal point. I don't understand why people seethe so hard over CS gunplay, there really isn't anything about it that doesn't make sense.
If they just animated the viewmodel tilting up as your spray pattern gets higher nobody would be asking any questions
>It isn't, your crosshair just represents a focal point.
cringe, even call of duty is honest about it's crosshair and iron sights being accurate to where the bullets are going
>I don't like it so it's bad
Mhm
Are recoil patterns just artificial difficulty that force memorization?

You don't even really need to learn them, you just burst fire to actually control your spread instead
>every shooter must be call of duty
This is because of people like you games are so formulaic these days.
>2400 hrs on record
>haven't learned a single spray pattern
I tap shoot and pull down on mouse when spraying
I might put effort into learning csgo if they ever port it over to source 2
What rank?
afaik GO is the only one with consistent spray patterns
Raises the skill ceiling. If you could just hold down the button without recoil then it would make no sense to tap and fire small amounts, wait for recoil reset since you could just lie down on the button. if you want that, just play call of duty
global elite here, ask me anything (related to the game), i can help
if you are below dmg then you are doing obvious things wrong
>Complains about games being formulaic
>Thinks csgo recoil pattern is good
Sadly it becomes RNG if you are moving, this encourages camping in the same fucking spot if you are defending.
>he thinks you can rank up solo in easter europe
KEK go back to your discord
you shouldnt move while shooting unless its you are using an smg or certain pistols. come on man, this is like csgo 101
It gives useless shitter the illusion they're good
Csgo has the most cancerous shooting mechanics of any fps game ever made. It's a combination of copy paste recoil sprays with an element of rng. It is pure cancer aids and nobody who defends it is actually good at any other shooter that takes consistent skill like quake
I'd be dead serious saying some call of duty games have better shooting than csgo does
im from eastern europe too. this is probably the lamest excuse i have seen honestly. blaming a literal continent for not ranking up, wtf
lem
I haven't touched mm in months so I might have slipped
Nowadays I jump into random casual servers for fun and either do really good or pretty lousy
I play arms race most of the time, it's really fun for some reason.
I have fiddled with everything in regards to resolution, dpi and sensitivity and still overshoot or miss my flickshots when getting rushed by p90s
what do?
>muh quake
You larpers are pathetic. Real quakers have no problem playing cs.
Why are you posting pictures of yourself?
It's not good or bad, it's just how cs is. CS being true to the roots instead of being just another call of duty/battlefield/another aim down sight shooter is a good thing, yes.
Why Zig Forums hates tactical shooters so much? We can't even keep afloat a valorant/csgo general in /vg/
Real quakers hated cs, tfc, natural selection, the specialists, action half life and other garbage hl1 mods.
Fuck valve.
whats your rank? generally, you should not get rushed down by p90. position yourself better, use smoke, pay attention to economy. p90 is more used as a force buy. if you know they are forcing, switch up positions. try to keep distance, avoid short angles
yes ranking up is easy whn you get kicked by fucking russians or turks at the beggining of the game you dumb fuck
They're boring as fuck. Their esport appeal only really preys on teenagers and actual manchildren that feel team-based competition with less than perfect rulesets and mechanics are somehow worth spending half an entire lifetime into, and solo queueing is without fail always a miserable experience. Only retards care about virtual ranks in vidya played at a consumer level, and that's about the only thing these games are actually good for.
If you want a fun shooter to frag in you want something more fast paced, which is why arena shooters are relatively popular on this board. You just drop into a server and start bhopping and clicking heads, and if you suck no one really gives a shit.
They also require friends to play properly unlike more popular esports here like puzzle games, arena shooters (again, comp is always 1v1), fighters and RTS.
This isn't in mm it's in dm, casual and warzone
I typically lose when playing with the ak against other players especially
i doubt you are being kicked for no reason all the time. that just does not happen
so youre a beginner? watch this, this is all you need to know basically
youtube.com
try community dm servers, they are very tough at first if you are low level but they are better
larper, arena has been dead for more than a decade, no one plays them. who are you trying to impress? the people who played quake 20 years ago are 40+ now
Nobody cares about your dead genre arena shooter boomer.
