TWW bros in TWW2 does creamAPI unlock the content from the first game and their dlcs? If so, I fail to see the reason to get the first game along with 2nd one if I'm just gonna pirate the dlc

creamapi includes an ini file that has the steamids for every single dlc including mortal empires and the first games dlcs so yes

For some reason I always think of Man Ray from Spongebob when I see Balthazar Gelt.

ELDEEN RI-I-ING ! !

yea I know :( . I just really dislike dlcs because of my paradox-induced ptsd, I do try my best to buy them later on if I find myself enjoying them

fuck paradox and their dlc, some serious jew shit

How does Paradox parcel out their DLC? Because I don't really feel compelled to buy TW DLC unless it's a race pack or I really enjoy the particular race the DLC is for.

FOR THE EMPEROR!

But how much do you lose out on by not getting the DLC? Like Saints Row and Just Cause had a shitton of cosmetic DLC, but I didn't give two fucks about it, so I didn't care about its existence.
I've never played a Paradox game, by the way.

This is probably the only game I've seen in years that has a decent dlc policy which is surprising coming from CA of all people. But it also means you're free to just buy packs as you get interested in new things and want to try different factions you go up against instead of being gutted without them.

The paradox DLCs are absolutely essential, and they usually add QoL features that the base game lacks.
Without them the game just feels barren.

there's more content in those dlc than in the base game, some of them are more or less essential

It's technically playable without DLC, but realistically it isn't. Paradox loves putting major new gameplay mechanics and QoL improvements behind a a DLC paywall.

Ah, okay. That's pretty scummy.

personally I feel like the free updates that come with the DLC just barely add the skeleton of new features, and the DLCs actually add the proper implementation for those features. Some features are pretty good, some not so much but still considered essential. Then there's a lot of them which people argue should've been in the base game from the start, but instead get gated behind the DLC, most of those that add definition to things like the byzantine government
CK3 barely had any footage shown and people are already pulling out theories that HRE is going to be barren and basic as fuck and will probably get a DLC to flesh it out
in short: bunch of fucking jews who made me despise DLC

When I put cream API in my TWW2 folder I just don't get access to any DLC or to Mortal Empires, what did I miss?

>I just really dislike dlcs because of my paradox-induced ptsd
Yeah, me too.

One of the worst parts is that the DLC is often overpriced and filled with filler flabor content that any modder could add, like additional mission trees for certain countries.

Yup. Game has months worth of content, Ive but almost 600 hours into it and barely scratched even half the campaigns yet.

Not like its expensive either, currently on sale and about €120 would net you everything; both games, all DLCs and all factions including the recent Warden & Grom. For potentially several hundred (maybe even thousand) hours of gameplay its a steal. Fuck, even €38 gets ya both core games, which is 9 factions and the Mortal Emp campaign.

But "muh nickle and dime DLC" boogeyman.
