What was the worst season of The Walking Dead?

What was the worst season of The Walking Dead?
and why was it Season 2?
Season 3 and 4 were way worse, not that 2 was that good either.
2>1>>>>>>>>The sheer amount of shitposting season 2 gave was legendary
3 writing was awful but for me, 4 takes the cake. Not only because the SJW shit and how hard they tried to make Clem a dyke, but, hell, until Ep 3 came out people were CELEBRATING only white people died in the final season. And then Ep 4 comes out and pulls a cry bait getting Clem bitten, but nop, chop chop and she's healed, unlike Lee who chopped his arm off and still died.
Fuck that shit.
Reminder that Kenny did absolutely nothing wrong
I miss Lee.
Sara is on a whole new level of wasted potential and meeting a new cast only to make the funky fetus the sole survivor felt like shit
Fuck Janefags
4>1>2>>>>i love violet bros
Amputation has worked several times in the series and you could make Clem date a guy
The reason every season after 1 did bad is because the focus became Clementine's perspective rather than the influence on Clementine.
Your decisions mattered in S1 because every time you did something, it shaped how your surrogate child saw this new world, seemingly devoid of morality or care. When you played Lee, every decision was "how will this affect Clementine?". When you were Clementine, every decision was "how will this affect a bunch of flat characters who will likely die soon?"
So yes, the correct answer is everything past 2.
It's incredible. The downgrade from Season 1 to 2 is still staggering to this day. The biggest weakness of the S2 for me is how shit the characters are. They kill off Omid and Christa in the first 10 minutes, only to make less interesting surrogates in the form of Alvin and Rebecca. Characters like Sarah and Nick could have had some really interesting character arcs, but the hacks that wrote them did literally nothing with their characters and they ended up being hate fodder. The rest are so one-dimensional that I literally have to look up on the wiki to remember their names.
This is outside of the fact that they basically just bring Kenny back, and instantly sidetrack the new cast entirely just to focus on what people already remembered (easier than having to actually write the new characters, right?)
I think the issue is also the fact that Clem is just physically incapable being a little girl and all that. So danger is never able to be established because she’ll never be in any adult situations.
Lee was a fully grown man and therefore was able to mete out violence toe to toe with any threats.
yeah but clem was beyond fucked at the point when the nigglet hacked her leg off
no she wasnt, the leg was cut off only 20 minutes later. she looked sickly because of blood loss from the wound in her leg (which also disallowed the walker venom to flow through her bloodstream). lee was fucked no matter what because he had his arm amputated hours later
>they changed producers for each season
Didn't know this until now, but it probably explains the vastly different tone and how everything past the first season fails to connect the dots.
What might’ve also harmed was being part of a fad and franchise that was increasingly becoming threadbare
They had a huge turnover cos Kevin Bruner was a giant asshole
That beaner girl getting punched by her dad made s2 worth it
>Main character, Clem, is a mutt
All of them, there was no reason to do that except virtue signalling pro-diversity bullshit. Make her 100% black I don't care, I'm not complaining about MUH BLACKS in vidya, but it's very obvious they made her mixed to garner favor from SJW's
season 2 by far, easily the least memorable characters, also the way they try to shoehorn you into liking jane feels pretty stupid, she has no redeeming qualities whatsoever and is always wrong about every situation. reminder that she thought faking a.j.'s death and then attacking kenny was a good plan for showing how fucked up of a person kenny is
i never really got why people think "virtue signalling" is a bad thing, or why having representation even falls under that category. it seems to just be stupid name calling by people that feel threatened by "muh womz" in media
There's a stark difference between "having representation" and "having representation specifically to please certain groups of people"
1 is the only good one.
Correct take, even if even it did stink of reddit.
but again, how is that a bad thing? i cannot see whats inherently wrong with pleasing the crowd
based and Texas 2 pilled
Oh he can't be that ba-
>Former employees describe Bruner as a creative bottleneck who micromanaged every part of the development process, even going so far as to personally rewrite tutorial text. “He wanted to be consulted on everything from the color of the walls to who they’ve hired to write specific dialogue,” a former employee says.
>Despite the inherently unfinished nature of the sort of prototypes they presented, developers felt that they still needed to present something “shippable” in order to get their ideas approved. “If it at all looked janky or not fixed or not done, [Bruner] would say no to it,” says one source with direct knowledge of the process. “He just lacked that insight, to see beyond what was there and go ok, I see where this was going.”
OH MY GOODNESS!
SQUIDWAAAARD!
because they clearly care more about pleasing people who have nothing to do with video games, rather than making a good game
>representation
That's literally just another word for tokenism. They just pretend it's something else because they've been called out on it so many times before.
I mean, anyone who has been bitten by a snake would tell you that minutes after being bitten, you're already fucked. Turns out, blood pumps around your body pretty fucking fast and trying to cut off the source of the venom by sucking it out or even tourniquet and amputation is useless and in the case of the latter will always make it worse because your body will be weakened by the bloodloss and the energy required to make more of the red stuff.
Also, who says it was hours later? They walked through that city/town in no time at all when they first went through it, it would have taken then no more than half an hour to get back to the building they already knew the location of.
how does putting a character in the game that is different from the norm take away from focusing on making the game good? literally all it takes to have representation is change something so minor about a character (skin tone, gender, sexuality, etc.) that it isn't even noticeable in the grand scheme of things. people seem to think that 90% of the time spent on a game is deciding what skin color the main character should be, when in reality that just isnt how things have ever worked for competent writers and designers, it's an aspect of a character that you can think up in 2 minutes
