How did you feel when you played Yume Nikki for the first time more than 10 years ago?

I really liked the docks
good times
I would say it had a decent impact on my taste in vidya, I like surrealism and horror and stuff.
I had more patience then and enjoyed it
Bored as fuck
I found it boring and never finished it.
It's pretty interesting doing a blind run of Yume Nikki, encountering events by accident was so satisfying.
A remember a friend telling me about it in school and I got home to play it and was hooked even though you don't really do anything in this game.
It still makes me laugh how Persona 3 back in the day bored me to tears but I could explore this game for hours.
Nostalgic, a lot. I enjoy vistas and scenarios in video games and YN has some weird but captivating levels and overall progress.
I couldnt finisht it without a guide tho and even with it it was pretty cool.
It also made me more interested in RPG maker games like IB and Witchs house... too bad there hasnt been one in quite some time.
sadly i watched a lets play of it instead during that time
Confused because the version I was playing wasn't in English.
Confused mostly
Yume Nikki was a special experience to go through. Exploring every corner, being lost for hours and hours until you find something by complete accident.
More games need to make players feel lost like this game did.
Boring and stupid.
I've still never played it.
Don't know shit about it other than what the MC looks like. No clue what genre it even is.

walking sim
Zelda (NES) is the zonly one that comes to mind.
I still didn't
bump
Pretty good.
Feels great. It's a legendary game.
i didnt, stop lying
I projected onto Mado a lot, which I think improved my experience with it. Still one of my favorite games to this day.
Good atmosphere though
Never played it
I didn't care for it.
"Oh this map just repeats in every direction? It's kinda ugly."
Nice atmosphere I guess, and the smaller maps were fun.
I used to play the game before going to bed on school days. The music and enviroments made me feel extremely relaxed, nostalgic and comfy.
Feels great, legendary game.
i still do user
Anybody played .flow?
of course

That can't happen nowadays, because walking simulators became a thing. Back then you knew something was gonna happen at some point. Now you can't spend an hour walking randomly without the promise of a payoff
