I will never understand how people can defend Infinite on the merit of its writing. The Luteces' banter in the rowboat is the only vaguely clever bit of writing in the entire game. After you reach the cartoonishly racist carnival barker, Levine never stops beating you over the head with it's themes and foreshadowing so thick it's nearly an insult when the game reveals who Comstock and Elizabeth are like its supposed to be some kind of revelation.
