Which Warhammer 40k games are GENUINELY good and worth playing? Which ones should I avoid like the plague? Trying to decide which ones to pick up on the current Steam sale.

Thoughts on Gladius? Sanctus Reach? Space Hulk: Deathwing and Tactics? Inquisitor Martyr now that it's been 'fixed'?

Dawn of War 1 + 2 are solid, though quite different from each other.

Haven't played anything else, so also looking for recommendations.

Is Inquisitor martyr any good?

Vermintide.

Space Marine but it's relatively short, if it's less than

Its all fascist bullshit. I dox people who play it, they're always nazis.

It fucks me up so bad that people are going to bite this.

based and spacepilled

>510253746
terrible fucking bait. You don't even deserve my (You)

>Inquisitor Martyr now that it's been 'fixed'
it's decent
actually good if you care about the lore

Dawn of War 1 is great, with or without mods.
Dawn of War 2 is also good, but mainly the campaign, but it's very different than DoW 1.
Dawn of War 3 is AIDs and a dead game, avoid.
Mechanicus is a very solid Xcom-style tactical game.
Inquisitor Martyr is a mediocre Diablo clone, is fun if you're really into 40k.
Space Marine is a classic. Solid all around third-person shooter. Closest that 40k's gotten to a "triple A" game.

Warhammer Dawn of War Ultimate Apocalypse

dawn of war: dark crusade and soul storm

dawn of war 2 is ok, I didn't get really into it though

Deathwing is alright if not bland if you have 3 other friends playing with, otherwise you're at the whims of randoms that picked up the game when it's on sale and absolutely fuck up everything because they picked Apoth and don't know how to heal, massive amounts of grinding, and maybe 10 missions. No built in VOIP, which is absolutely disgusting for a game that requires 4 people to be able to target units that can kill a player in 3 shots on normal.
Mod died because discord drama.

Would you guys recommend tw: warhammer 1 and 2 to someone who has never played that kind of games?
They're on sale right now and I'm tempted to buy them

Total warhammer is the best the series has ever been.

Vermintide 1 and 2
Chaos Gate
Total war 2
Mechanicus.

Poorfag here. Can I run Mechanicus decently with a GTX 670? I meet the Recommended Specs on everything else besides the GPU. They list the GTX 770 as the Minimum Spec but it doesn't look that demanding from all the gameplay I've watched.

I don't want to waste the money if it'll run like shit.

If you're in to the world, absolutely. One of the best Total War games and probably the best Warhammer Fantasy game ever.

Rp fags fuck off, you're the reason people hate these threads

You can refund if it doesn't user, don't worry about it.

dawn of war 1 + expansions
thats it

>implying i gonna buy it

>I don't want to waste the money if it'll run like shit.

total warhammer 1 and 2 is pretty filled with content but is kind of daunting if you're not a fan of RTS.
I actually played shogun 2 because i liked bannerlord and will probably continue to TWW2 since i already bought the basegame on a sale and now the DLCs.
Also there are a bunch of youtube videos about the movement system which is very helpful for starting out.

this user is not me . just some LARPer.

mechanicus is genuinely one of my favorite games of all time, it's so fucking good. The atmosphere, art direction, gameplay, everything, it's all just so good.

battlefleet gothic is bretty gud, battlefleet gothic 2 is basically more of the same, just with more races. I feel it loses a bit of the soul, but that's purely subjective, it's still worth a try if it's on sale.

DOW 1 if you're a fan of RTS games with less micro, soulstorm is absolutely essential, but winter assault is my personal fav because I'm a slut for guard shit. DOW 2 is more micro heavy, the main campaign and multiplayer never really jived with me, but the arena mode is fun as shit, I've sunk like 80 hours into that alone. DOW 3 isnt something I've had a desire to try, I've heard it's fun if you're into MOBAs though.

Space marine is just big dumb fun, the later parts of the campaign got a bit grating to me though, but good if got on sale. It's been many moons since I played it though, so I dont have much to say about it.

As you can see I'm kinda biased towards strategy games, and there are some really quality games in the franchise if you're into that. I've also heard gladius is a stealth top tier, but I havent gotten around to playing it yet.
