A rough start to a good game. Try to keep your speed mauls as low as possible and take care of your legs. Go for medkit research asap.

Upgrade your cyberlegs.
Try different weapons: there are some shit weapons that you'll learn to avoid, but most weapons are viable and a few are very unique and fun to use.
It will be helpful to have a weapon with armor piercing, but there is a pistol with this property that will fit into any load-out, so you don't need it on your main weapon.
The game is even better if you have friends to play with.
Always research things, unless you are really short on cash. Research unlocks new things to research, and is needed to unlock the medkit (important) and some of the best weapons in the game (fun).

Do missions, do repeat missions. Enemies spawn anyway, and research briefcases are drops so you want to be grindan a bit.

Research takes more time than money. You should spend most of your cash on your cyberlegs, and just put in the bare minimum into research: eventually, you will need rare drops to advance your research, and this will be the bottleneck.

Fantastic gunplay, mediocre roleplaying. Make sure you have an armour piercing weapon with you in the later part of the game - the TRK A.D for example. Some of the later enemies have an absolute shitload of defence.

provided you're not just fishing for some broken legs posts, it's probably not the game you're expecting but if you just go in with no definite expectations and an open mind, you might really like it. I think the shooting in it actually feels great and I like that you can make the difficulty insane
Here are some pro tips in no order: the cloak augment has very low stat requirements and is fantastic, when you run out of respawns you start the chapter over and get a semi-permanent wound, psy cloning skills are great, the Depezador shotgun is a murder machine at everything but sniper range, the B.O.S.C.O. Realy 911 (that's "realy" it's name) is already unlocked and is actually a top tier gun, the motra SMG actually functions better as a DMR on semi auto and is wall/armor piercing, the revolvers are good, research still goes fast with no "scientists" assigned, focus on upgrading your cyber legs so you can jump hella high, and there are multiple branches/endings, which is important
VIP tip: if you search online you can find a mod that gets rid of the annoying fisheye scope effect

The French version is so bad the devs removed it a while ago. It was plain shoddy, lots of shit grammar and typos. English dub is unironically the best.

A flawed gem. It is fun, has interesting concepts and world, but it is short and don't use all the potential it has, but this was probably because of budget. It is worth it, I hope someone does something similar one day.

A really really well intentioned HL2 mod. It has charm out the ass and fighting shit is incredibly satisfying.
It's not short if you're aiming for the final ending. You can step off the train any time you like. I think it's a good length but it being repetitive probably doesn't help my case.
