I liked Into the Breach

Can't help to feel disappointed in the game. The game is either an exercise on frustration or piss easy juggling exercise, and the enemy start to wear thin really fast, i don't know the actual numbers but it really feels like Bayonetta and Astral Chain had way more enemy variety.

I still like it and is one of the best games of the decade for sure, but i really wanted to love this game.

I just kept dying to Gah-Goojin in 002-C. I just didn't know what to do half the time and learned basically by mistake. I restarted the mission every time until I got tired and just took the L and continue'd. I was having such a great time but it was so frustrating. I also don't get how the whip works.

It is a learning experience, or you have someone teach you the stuff. What was getting you?

>I still like it and is one of the best games of the decade for sure
I dunno, it sounds like you love it to me.

>get hammer
>can't draw it for shit
fug

I don't think it was one thing exactly. I just was confused about what to do. I managed to get to the part where he gets spikes on his face but after dying there like three times I just gave up. Do I need to have enough member to parry its stomps with unite guts? Because a bunch of time his attacks would just go through and sometimes they're get deflected.

I feel like replaying some of the previous missions to get more stuff from the shop and see if I missed something. Is there some sort of guide somewhere so I can go back to get more stuff off the levels?

>draw hammer
>get whip instead

Yeah, I think you need at least 51 members to block the stomp. That fight should supply you with more dudes who fly in. If you see the guts jiggle a little instead of immediately counter the attack, then you know it will break. That jiggle gives you time to spring away from the attack.
Also, if the tower is damaged you can use the liner to circle the damaged parts and repair it. If you counter the hand/fist slam and his hand becomes detached you can circle it with the liner to get your Wonderful Ones to throw it at the boss.

There is a google doc floating around that has a list of the collectibles.

That link should work.

You hit him while stopping him from destroying the tower. Even if he's just kind of strafing around doing nothing, you can attack his head at all times, which when broken becomes covered in spikes, which you then rip off with the whip, revealing his final health bar. Everything else you do is to protect the tower. Guts his fist slams, attack his hand when he starts trying to tilt it, guts his stomp when he jumps on the tower and then attack his foot when he's off balance to knock him off, and guts any debris he throws at it the tower. The only move of his you have no way of countering the first time you play the stage is his missile barrage. You need over 50 members to guts his attacks, at least his fist slams and stomp, and damage to the tower doesn't count against your score, but if you're worried about it being destroyed, circle sparking spots to repair them.
Likely points of confusion:
If he holds up a flaming round... thing, pull out gun and shoot at it. He holds it quite high up, but you don't need gun rising or anything, you bullets will home in on it
When you're riding on the planes and circling around him, you can guts his attacks to stop the planes from getting destroyed. As far as I know there isn't anything special to be done for extra damage against him in this segment, it's just spectacle.
When Pink or Green's faces appear on the screen for a counter, pull out their unite morphs and stand in the center of the arena to trigger the event. For Green's you have to shoot his head enough times, for pink's you don't do anything, it's just a cutscene.
If you attack his head a lot you may see him just kind of idle for a while and wonder what the fuck he's doing. Chances are it's because you stunned him by shooting enough guys onto his head with gun, the same way stunning regular enemies works.

>If you counter the hand/fist slam and his hand becomes detached you can circle it with the liner to get your Wonderful Ones to throw it at the boss.

These ones had me confused. The others I had already figured out. Thanks.

The special thing about the Pink and Green faces, is that you do NOT attack. You just need the morph out and to be standing in the center of the arena, then the event will trigger. Then, like the previous user said, if it is Pink you just watch a special cutscene, and if it is Green you will be put into a shooting minigame.

002-C is a rough patch because there are just so many mechanics in the fight. But keep it up.

so playing hard mode now did they add a part in 001 c where you have to attack the boss while your on the statue I don't remeber it at all

That's part of the fight on normal as well.

The sword attacks against Laambo? That was in Normal as well.

What missions have the spiked gehdowns? I think that's the last weapon I need.

>White shows up
>immediately replaces Blue as Red's second-in-command with little fanfare or acknowledgement

Harsh.

is hammer really only meant for big dick damage?
he has stinger and shit, but his base combo is just a single hit. do you unlock more or is it only the single hit.

It's also used for treasure hunting.

To be fair, Blue was being a bitch during most of the 2nd half of the game.

Could you guys tell me how the whip works though? Can I pick enemies and thrown them around? Do I just keep attacking until the enemy's spike armor comes off?

Hey just curious for people on the higher difficulties, did they fix that bug caused by the Vorkken figure that corrupts save files?

I'd like to think of it as a subtle reference to how the off-color rangers in Super Sentai shows briefly hog the spotlight in the middle of the story. Although if that's the case, White is not very obnoxious about it, so that's a plus.

-Only the BIG Whip can tear off spike armor
-the whip can throw cannonballs lying around at nearby enemies
>it can also pick up and throw enemies if they're dizzy

>obtain claw
>try to draw claw

Is there a New Game Plus or will I have to buy all the upgrades all over again in Hard mode?

what are all the rides on 002-B? I know the water slide and ferris wheel

I'd enjoy this game a lot more if there weren't so many aggravating minigames, literally ten of the fuckers every level. Don't think I'll bother with hard mode after I've completed normal because it's too much of a slog.
