get ready for some loud fans when you decide to actually play something on it again

nah, I just smack it every now and then, cockroach blood is decent enough thermal paste

do cockroaches even have blood

yes

yes user, all insects do.
it's yellow btw.

The moment you need to apply thermal paste, the console is basically done. The paste just delays the inevitable by a couple of months.

Unless he got the first batch, this isn’t a problem with the revised models

No, not really

>re-applying thermal paste
>ever
Then again I am not sure of the quality of work in SNOY's consoles, so it might actually be necessary.

>Imagine having to void your warranty due to basic maintenance.

Laughs in PC.

>The moment you need to apply thermal paste, the console is basically done
why? cpus last decades

i cum in it

>had the console for 2+ years
>thinking warranty really matters

Exactly, at that point you should be swapping to the next gen.

bet you threw out your nintendo64 as soon as the next-gen consoles got released

I did

I have a day one PS4 (2013), play it every single day, I probably have more than 5000 hours of playtime on it. Never opened once.
Say what you want about Sony but they did a good job

you should try cleaning it once and see the difference it makes

What difference would it make? Less noise? Because it really doesn't make much at all

What's going on in that pic?

even if it doesnt make much noise, its still basic maintenance.
all the dust inside of it probably causes it run much hotter than it needs to

The 'reapply thermal paste' meme was started by thermal paste companies in the PC space. You should never need to do it for any electronics.

consoles are way too much of a hassle to take apart and then put back again.

This, the warranty ended years ago, you'd just be extending your PS4's life

On second thought, don't do it, FUCK Snoy

Saved

retard

Nope, play it once or twice a year, never had an issue so far and I bought the thing day 1.

wow now i have to reapply my thermal paste bc the pea method clearly doesn't work

I don't use it so no.

Like what

It does, you just have to put a little bit more
Though the x method seems to be simpler in terms of measuring out the amount you put down
