Maybe a better game because 90% of all games at all times are shit, but certainly not better than most stories in current games. The wirting, the plotting and the quality of stories is far better nowadays.

The great games of today are generally better than the great games of the past. That is a fact. Which is not to take any merit away from the older games because they had far more constraints and hurdles than current ones, in general.
