I think Riot Gun is used pretty often in Castle segment up until the Striker. The real least used weapon is the mine-thrower. Too bulky and too niche

Accounting for some weapons being free:

>Striker > Shotgun > Riot Gun
>Semi-Auto > Bolt-Action
>Broken Butterfly > Killer7
It should be noted that Killer7 > Broken Butterfly if you plan to use four or more other weapons, since an unupgraded Killer7 is completely superior to an unupgraded Broken Butterfly.

I personally prefer blacktail because it has solid damage, fires fast, has high capacity, takes only 6 spaces and is more responsive compared to other weapons

All you need is a Mine Thrower and you're golden.

No SMG?
It is objectively good since it is the only gun that uses that ammo, so it is the only thing you need to improve.

That and it is the most satisfying one to use.

I forget if you still get SMG bullets if you have no SMG

You only get the TMP bullets that always drop if you don't have it. Otherwise, enemies don't drop ammo for it.
