How long until someone competent steals yandere simulator idea and remakes it from scratch before the game is even released?
Yandere Dev is absolutely incompetent; his code and assets are so terrible, it would be easier to start from scratch than fix them.
The asshole would likely sue, but I don't think he would win if enough changes are made to the concept.

Its not an idea worth the effort. Its an idiot you might think is cool for a split second but falls apart whenever you put in actual thought.

just make a steaming pile of shit with anime girls, waifufags will eat it up

I thought someone already did and it was completed like 3 years ago

I'm sure the Japanese already have working Yandere simulators.

It's already happened.
His games source code leaked like a month ago and everyone laughed at how completely terrible the code was.
Like 30 lines of code to do one simple action.

There are plenty of them on Steam already. They are all garbage as expected.

Why do people think that yandere sim is a good concept? Isn’t the whole concept just “anime girl shoots up school”? How is that a good concept? The only reason someone else hasn’t made that game yet is because its sociopathic to make a game about killing kids. Alex is either a sociopath or just so fucking dumb that he doesn’t understand the implications of his work.

concept is:
>Over the course of ten weeks, Ayano will eliminate ten different rivals in order to ensure that her crush, Senpai, will not fall for the other girls.

I don't get why this is considered a simulator. The whole point of the simulator is to simulate something, i.e not have a victory condition or set objective.

>i.e not have a victory condition or set objective.
That's a really odd thing to add in considering that its not true at all. Lots of real life experiences and tasks have set objectives and victory conditions.

The victory condition is an abstraction and there is no equivalent in real life.
Take strategy games for example.
Civs are not simulation games because you have victory conditions.
Paradox games are simulation games because there is nothing resembling win condition.

If someone made a racing sim then the win condition would be winning the race. If someone made a mountain climbing sim then the objective would be to climb the mountain. If someone made a delivery truck sim then the objective would be to deliver shit.

how long until someone finish the game with the leaked data

What if someone made a Zig Forums shitposting sim?

Its called Yandere Simulator because it comes from that retarded era of gaming where EVERY indie dev was calling their game "Something Simulator" to try and draw from the pool of sales that games like Goat Simulator got. Yandere Simulator was first pitched here on Zig Forums the exact same month Goat Simulator released.
Its been in "development" so long that people have entire moved on from the fad of indie games it was trying to steal from. It no longer even has its niche audience.

What is the idea even, and how is modded Fallout 3+, or Postal 2/4, not just the same idea with way more?

The win condition would be to get a new rule added in direct response to you.

fair point, I yield

what simulator meme games are actually good ideas though. making a video game just to emulate the experience of anime is an ok goal imo because not a lot of video games even try to pull that off. not even jrpgs.

The drama surrounding the game is way more entertaining than the game concept its self.

>The asshole would likely sue, but I don't think he would win if enough changes are made to the concept.
Sue for what, he doesn't even own his game assets.

What did Yandere Dev mean when he said Zig Forums dejected him?

There’s no “idea” here. I can’t even begin to comprehend why anyone would be hyped for this
>LITERAL weeb game that’s just an incredibly basic hitman clone set in an autistic weeaboo’s conception of a Japanese highschool, jam packed with Facebook tier memes and romaji words.

It’s honestly the single most cringeworthy game I’ve ever seen. If you want to play a good version of this just play Hitman Blood Money.

he bought them legally from the unity assets store
also I like how each of his character uses the same model, they only differ in hair style, hair- and eye color, everything else is the same

Yandere simulation is kind of limited, I was thinking for a long time about something a bit bigger, you are a student, do some stuff here and there but then you get bullied or peer pressured into other stuff, the goal of the game would be for the player character to "physically and mentally" experience the effects of those things, ultimately you can "snap" and go on a killing spree, a small revenge plot or try to overcome the hardships... or maybe be the bigger bully which in turn may cause an NPC to snap and kill you or stuff like that.

>The asshole would likely sue, but I don't think he would win if enough changes are made to the concept.
He wouldn't win even if literally no changes were made to the concept. Concept is not a legally recognized intellectual property with protection. You can basically clone any game you want and it's perfectly legal. You just can't infringe on the copyright of the game. Copyright refers to the EXPRESSION of ideas, not the ideas themselves. There's also patents but nobody often bothers with them for games because they are so specific and in software it can be relatively easy to make a minor change to avoid patent infringement.

>ironic weeb: the game
Concept is unsalvagable.

>wasting time performing one-upmanship instead of making your own ideas into reality

if i were to steal the concept i would better steal Mirai Nikki concept of battling for the god spot.

its fucking amazing how hard john thompson won

Tell that to the DMCA on youtube copyright.

Holy shit, is that it?

You could have a hitman-like game based around this premise.

Let's fucking go. I need 10 stereotypes for the rivals, and where they'd likely be for the "arena"

>nerdy type - library
>sporty type - swimming pool, running track, gym
>etc

points for the most inventive way of removing them from the school. Doesn't have to be death, you just have to ruin the moment without getting your crush hurt or suspicious of your actions.

I guess the game over would be
>rival gets your crush
>you die in some way
>spotted acting suspicious by teachers or student body and getting apprehended.

I have no idea what that gibberish is supposed to mean. Are you another one of those retards that thinks just because you copy and paste some blurb about fair use into the video description on youtube that means what you've done is suddenly not copyright infringement?

>waaah waaah bad man won’t let me play anime child murder simulator
I have nothing against games like GTA, I think they are fun. But the difference between GTA and yansim is that you are murdering kids in yansim. As well, the whole point of the game is to murder children. In GTA there is much more to do than just murder the (adult) pedestrians.
