agree, Halo 2 was often silly and over the top (giving the Covenant back their bomb) and yet somehow still felt like a compelling story where a lot of different things could develop from it. 3 was so bland and had no real interesting shake ups

The isometric view and the sound design sells the atmosphere for me that and the music, all makes you feel like you're in a big world
