Why are there people who don't consider VNs games?

Cause they aren't, fuck off back to retard

danganronpa is a game whether you like it or not

Why the fuck are you still here?

They can't read.

Fuck off weeb
fpbp

Americans are illiterate, thus they can't play VNs.

But I play VNs, and I'm a mutt

It has a health bar, puzzle solving mechanics, and a dozen minigames. How is it not a game?

I love Ibooky! I think interactive VNs like Danganronpa, Zero Escape, and Ace Attorney are games but the text only ones like Umineko aren't cause they're pretty much a book.

yes, I skip all the dialogues and only play danganronpa for the minigames, how could you tell?

Because fuck you.

What about VNs like fate? Where there's a background point system based on dialogue choices that effects what happens in the story, on top of dialogue that directly changes story. There's bad ends you get when you choose wrong dialogue so there's even a way to lose the game. Yet it's still all text.

Hey are you skraxx by any chance?

>0

Danganronpa is objectively a game though but only debatably a VN

OH NOOOOOOOOOOO

FUCK

I haven't played fate so I can't comment too much on it but dialogue choices affecting the story make me think of one of those choose your own adventure books. I think stuff like danganronpa could be considered a game since there are moments where you explore as well as play mini games during trials. It has as much gameplay as a point and click game imo

Why is Case 2-5 the best case?

No, I'm just an ordinary guy who loves Ibooky

CYOA books are considered games. Not video games of course since they are digital and so forth, but CYOA are games. So wouldn't a digital version, adapted to the medium of vidya(so adding music and stuff like the point tracker that would be tedious for a book) make it a game? Yes the gameplay is minimal and different but would it not be a video game at that point? I mean there's even ways you lose in it.

danganronpa isn't even a VN

What was the point of this character?

Hmm, I guess if there are consequences for your actions like being able to get a game over then sure

...

what was the point of the game he was in honestly

comedic relief
also junko

fuck off danganautsists

Yeah. When it comes down to it the most basic thing that describes a game, not vidya just a game, is actions causing a win or lose state. Video Games are just that but through digital actions depending on player input. Yeah you can get some pretty barebones video games that would still count as a result, but just cause the gameplay is minimal doesn't mean it's not a game. Hell you could make a game that is literally choose a button and you either win or lose, sort of like that game where you hide something under a cup and mix them up. It'd be the shittiest video game in existence, but it's still by all technicalities a video game

All of the monokubs were supposed to be part comic relief, part thing to sell toys of, and story wise a references to characters like Scrappy Doo to across the idea that in game DR is a dying franchise that is well past it's glory days

lmao check this 0
