>buy a car
>scared to drive because I dont want to ruin car
You can't ruin it if you are not retarded, use the damn thing OP.
no retard
i bet you didn't build it
im too scared to use it for long periods of time too i dont want fry the cpu or some shit
No. What the fuck is wrong with you?
My PC has been on constantly for years only being powered down for update restarts or if there's a power cut.
You're actually retarded.
>My PC has been on constantly for years only being powered down for update restarts or if there's a power cut.
your insane let that shit sleep

>10y/o HDD making awful noise
>scared to start gaming pc and have it finally die
op here im just scared to tear down my cpu with stressing it through gaming
>had HDD for 8 years
>it's powered for at least 10 hours a day
>every few months it will make whirring noises for a few weeks
>every time the noises start, I wonder if it's gonna die
>it never does
I was told back in 2012 that HDDs only last like 3 years. Fucking liars.
>not buying a cheap HDD
Why
>get new hdd
>copy old hdd to new hdd
>works fine for a week
>start booting to blue screen

>after 5 months, GPU fan dying and now loud as shit
>can't play for more than 1 hour without it overheating
>$1000 USD for replacement

The most exhausting moment for a PC is turning on.
it’s not a fucking Ferrari OP
rev up those fryers
This has to be one of the dumbest posts in a while
>play unity engine game
>fans get noticeably louder
>ruin PC
By using it for its intended purpose?
What the fuck?
>build PC
>haven't shut it off for 6 years apart from update retarts
>no problems
What are you doing with your computer that would break it?
you went full retard op
You won't ruin your PC by playing games. It will get old, but so do game consoles. Eventually everything dies. Enjoy it while you can.
As long as you replaced the dry thermal compound cake that came in the box with some fresh wet thermal grease and bought a good aftermarket heatsink+fan you'll be fine.
You can buy a new CPU to replace it when the old one dies in a decade.
>buy a car
>scared to vroom on the motorway for fun because its expensive
>scared to play because I dont want to ruin pc
what the fuck are you on about
Get a nice fast flash drive and put a windows installer on it. That way whenever you want you can reinstall your OS and have a nice clean desktop again. It takes like less than half an hour to reinstall off a usb 3.1
ok boomer
Only buy something that you can buy at least a second one of, if you need to replace it
This rule has has served me well ever since I started living by it and it's not just for PC parts but everything else that I buy.
Now going back to PCs, most idiots spend all their budget on some fucktarded super build, then when something goes wrong or the thing goes kaput, they don't have anymore money to buy even a single significant replacement part
>buy a sandwich
>scared to eat it because I don't want to drop my sandwich like the retard I am so instead I will let the sandwich rot away without me eating it even if I'm hungry as fuck
Best laptop to buy for gaming?
>>scared to play because I dont want to ruin pc
what does this even fucking mean? how would you ruin your pc?
I think your money would be better invested on learning English before asking for advice on shitty expensive hardware that's only good for watching cat videos and writing documents.
