Can you just get gear in easier modes and then do master mode?

Finished master mode, it really forces you to dodge if you want to beat it. In expert you can stack defence or regen and just sit still to beat the game, or do enough damage to kill anything before you need to dodge.

Definitely a letdown after putting all that work into Expert mode back in 1.3.

Difficulty modes in Terraria is missing the point so I'm glad master is making expertshitters seethe.

What sucks is the amount of time it's taking for mods to update. It was much shorter when 1.3 hit.

expert and master mode were a mistake, but the players themselves are making mistakes by playing the game wrong. Before 1.3 terraria was already the perfect game with unlimited amounts of content available.

Even with the best achievable gear, you will still have difficulties with the next boss blocking you from the next level of gear.

Defense is OP in expert mode, Master just makes it so you can't stack defense and take 10 damage from hardmode bosses, while still allowing defense-stacking to have good results.

while master mode is bad, i wouldnt say that expert was a mistakr because it actually expands the game, adding new useful items (not just mounts, pets like in master), new attacks for bosses and new, more aggressive ai for enemies overall
expert is a gread addition to the game, giving more difficult and also rewarding experiance for already experianced players, without going over the top with numbers like master mode do

They could've easily added the new enemy behavior to normal mode without the boring numbers bloat.
Gating content is stupid.
