When PS1 was announced some nintendo fans argued that N64 cartridge games were faster and that's why games on N64 would by default be better.
When PS3 was announced Xbox fans defaulted to Microsoft has HD-DVD and it's faster and thus games will be better on Xbox 360.

It's a SSD Controller using PCIE 4.0 to run a RAID 0 setup with 8 different M.2 SSDs.
It should be pretty obvious why nobody has said anything about it, it's fast as fuck but it's not practical and it would likely be more expensive than your entire current PC costs

But the carts were faster. They had less storage, which meant you had to make compromises on the quality of assets, and music was disproportionately larger than other assets at that time. You didn't waste cart space with high quality music, you used MIDIs at best, whereas something like the PS1 could have fully recorded audio tracks.
