Revolver Ocelot

Wtf is this supposed to mean?

beans

And to think I was hoping they'd learn from the disaster that was Turbo...

they really need to go under holy shit

Ubisoft says Trackmania is not subscription-based, you just pay for it multiple times

I'm assuming it's no monthly renewal subscription, but the game comes with an expiration date? Like It only lets you run it for a month when you buy it, and you have to buy it again to keep playing for more months. Same way EA calls loot boxes Surprise Mechanics, just bs corporate speak for the exact same shit.

It means we don't want to use the Word People Hate, so we say we aren't that even though we fill all the criteria for being that. It's far from the first time some dumbass company has pulled that particular stunt, and it'll be far from the last as well.

Ubisoft says Trackmania is not subscription-based, you just pay for it multiple times

So you just pay for it multiple times?

What's wrong with turbo? It's fun

>pirate game every month
>company continuously loses money
Fuck them.

Dead on arrival

Ubisoft says Trackmania is not subscription-based, you just pay for it multiple times

The state of Trackmania these days hurts to see, it used to be so fun bros

Remember when installing Trackmania could fuck windows up? They never learn.

This hurts

> makes excellent free game with 1 environment and excellent paid upgrade with 7 environments
> makes sure they can play together so as to not divide the community
> hosts competitions
> most popular PC racing game ever
> buckets of goodwill
> game studio with goodwill
> TIME TO PISS IT ALL AWAY
> "here's the sequel"
> "1 environment, $10"
> wat.jpg
> environment is low skill cap need for speed trash
> "here's another environment, $10"
> "no, you can't play a combination of both, you have to pick one and restart the fucking game if you want the other"
> patches out ability to blockmix custom tracks because it would be unfair to people who can't download the tool
> no one buys this crap
> "oh no, how did this happen"
> "I know"
> "it's because of entitled PC gamers"
> makes console version
> it's just all existing environments with some ken block post-ironic billboards
> no way to share tracks on tm-exchange
> no way to collect tracks and host your own server
> can only publish tracks into the void and hope they show up at some point
> no one buys this crap
> "oh no, how did this happen"
> "I know"
> "it's because the old games are too good"
> gimps multiplayer functionality in old games
> communities destroyed
> people still refuse to play console port or overpriced low skill cap need for speed trash
> "oh no, how did this happen"
> "Let's make the same game as in 2007 again but now you need to pay money to make tracks"
> it's just all existing environments
> need to pay to make tracks
> need to pay to host server
> online support for previous titles ended
> money wasted
> communities destroyed

TrackMania (2003)... home

> makes game called "United Forever"
> splits the playerbase between 4 versions of identical environment

So paying for it multiple times is the new definition of subscription?

How about I pay for it 0 times, you greedy fucks

Wait - who's saying what about what game?

kek

Like an arcade maybe?

Wasn't this game free?

I hope they wonder why no-one bought their game in a years time.

This sounds a lot better for people who want more than Stadium to be active, but worse for people who only want Stadium.

Ubisoft continues to murder a good idea with French corporate retard monetisation get rich quick schemes. Results in yet again no player base. Maniaplanet was green lighted by these retards.

Yeah but Ubisoft is rebooting it into a whale milker. Aren't you glad?!

It's a subscription with no automatic renew, which to Ubisoft is different from a subscription while it clearly isn't.

What's wrong with paying for a game multiple times? At least it's not subscription.

It hurts bro, trackmania was a huge part of childhood gaming for me

I say piracy is not theft, it’s just taking a copy already paid for by someone else and distributing its copies for free
