No, the show exaggerates everything. The only educational thing is little facts about actual creators and gags made about them, like David Jaffe being quite young when he got into the indursty, or when Romero blew all that money on daikata to get a robomaid.

Not in the slightest. It was based on the Pre-Game Crash of '83 days of Atari
In the 70s and Early 80's Atari really was loaded with drug use and sexuality. It was a VERY relaxed work environment. The show does exaggerate to an extent.

Compared to general software development stuff video game companies demand harder work and longer hours for around a 20-30% pay cut for the same level of experience. Benefits are also usually worse, from what I've read. But how could they get away with this, you might ask? Simple, a lot of idiot kids get Comp Sci degrees and learn how to program because they want to work for video games. So it's an industry that burns passion for fuel and wrings productivity out of naive kids.

This is also why video games tend to be badly made these days. All the good programmers just got jobs with banks or major corporations and earn more money doing less work.

shit show with shtty premisse. just lime big bang theory. shit. I know I'm asking too much of stupid writers, but they could have at least have mentioned the innovations in hardware and software.

Not really. Weed was never the drug of choice in early game companies, it was cocaine so they could work days on end to meet deadlines. Also, they probably wouldn't have a composer since very few games then had actual music.

Ya fume

are you okay, do you know english? are you having a stroke? speak incoherently if so!

Somehow even less accurate than Grandma's Boy.

I still don't get why they went with (at the time) modern game subjects and personalities past a certain point

I miss code monkeys

Me too, user

user LIKES TO HAVE SEX WITH TROLLS

Code Monkeys, Kappa Mikey, and Ninja Warrior were the 3 reasons why I watched G4

>the show exaggerates everything
>not accurate
remove the exaggerations and you get an accurate story

i do not miss kappa mikey in the slightest

ET was terrible because the developer didn't give a shit and it had a theme by Neil Diamond?

Where is the user who was runnign the SyncTube G4 streams?

WHERE ARE YOU, YOU FAGGOT. YOUR SHIT WENT DOWN.

>i dont understand how exaggerations change the message
apply yourself user

For me, it was Anime Unleashed. Discovered so many great shows from it.

>or when Romero blew all that money on daikata to get a robomaid.

It was better than people give it credit for, even if the art was pretty ass.

it wasnt awful but i just genuinely did not enjoy it

>racist and homophobic Texan businessman who resorts to murder quickly
>violent token black guy
>gay guy is a literal magical fairy
>fat nerd with severe mommy issues
It was a different time

It was a rumor back then, but I definitely believe he totally did own one.

Makoto Nagano? Yeah he's a legend and I was so happy when he finally made it to the top.

WHITE BITCHES IS FREE
WHITE BITCHES IS FREE

exaggerations are inherently not accurate

>Makoto Nagano

HE LOVES YOU BITCH
