The eternal debate.

DQXI is the closest of those to being a good game but even then it hamstrung itself with casual baby gameplay that even the hard mode cant completely undo

I've only ever played Persona 5 and it's boring as fuck so I'd say the other two might be better.

>JRPGs

Persona shits over dq and xeno

P5 > Xenoblade 2 > DQXI/S

Dq11 > P5 > Xb2

There's no debate unless you're contrarian

The only correct answer in this thread so far.

Nah, Act 3 really brings DQXI down.

What's being debated?

I think we can all agree XB2 is the worst one.

P5 > DQ11 > XC2
They're all fun though

Remove P5

P5 (aesthetic, stylish, slice of life, polished traditional turn based experience) > XB2 (massive world, good art direction, lots of characters, some good, some not, engaging and fun battle system) > DQ11 (rehashed series that is so traditional it hurts)

XC2 - 9/10
DQXI S - 8/10
P5 - 4/10

Not sure how anyone could argue otherwise.

what debate

XB1 > DQXI > Persona 5 > XB2

this, what the fuck were they thinking? it's like all of your tears and blood and sacrifice doesn't mean anything

For me it xenoblade > p5 > dq

I would be okay with Act 3 if the characters didn’t treat it like such a minor inconvenience to lose everything they worked for. DQ games don’t need complex morality and themes but at least there could have been some kind of infighting with the party. Like Rab would have to live with subjecting his son in law to torture again, Erik has no way of knowing that his sister will be fine in the new timeline, Sylvando might not reconcile with his father, Hendrik knows his past self will go back to hating the Luminary after everything they’ve been through. It would’ve been great if they all had varying degrees of support, like Serena obviously pushes you to go back the most whereas Hendrik is uncomfortable with sacrificing everything for someone he never met; in the end, though, if they’re willing to sacrifice their personal growth for the sake of everyone’s future, that would earn them a happy ending. Honestly the character writing as a whole kind of dwindles in the postgame, which is a shame because Hendrik had my favorite character arc in maybe the entire series.

DQXI was alright, but the worst of the three. I didn't even go for the time travel BS, because well, the whole idea is BS.

>casual baby gameplay that even the hard mode cant completely undo
The difficulty is perfect so long as you select the challenge that prevents you from over-leveling. The early game is painful to go through because of how lacking you are in terms of skills. Characters don't fully come into their own until they're like level 35, and I use that number because it's around there that Erik can unlock dual wield and shadow clone at the same time, Veronica gets Oomphle, Serena gets multi-heal, and Hero can unlock Sword Dance

>this, what the fuck were they thinking? it's like all of your tears and blood and sacrifice doesn't mean anything
Peoples lives and Veronica's smile > muh character development.

XB2 actually has great gameplay, though. I just wish the main game was more like Torna in the sense that specials are done by the character you're controlling, rather than baton passing to another, it feels much more fluid that way. I'm playing through Xeno 1 and I'm sorely missing being able to launch enemies into air and then dunk them into the ground.

Xeno2 >> Persona 5 >>>>>>> Dragon Quest 11

Xb2 if instead of gacha you got rare blades by sidequests or exploration>p5>dq11>xb2

>Xb2 if instead of gacha you got rare blades by sidequests or exploration
But, user... You do get them with sidequests and exploration.
You stopped playing after 40 mins, huh.

I meant all of them

Oh. Well, they are called 'rare' for a reason.

why are "western" games advocates always cuckolds or homosexuals from reddit?

Based

>Dragon Quest XI only has Jade
>Persona 5 only has Futaba
>XC2 has a fucktone of waifus

isn't it obvious?

I havn't played any of them but dragon quest wins for having a nice pair of thighs on the cover

Yeah Futaba is clearly the best out of those, good choice.

these games are so grindy and repetitive they make retail MMOs and mobile games look compelling.

The ones you get from sidequests are also 'rare' so that doesnt mean anything

I think you just suck at jrpgs if you need to grind that much
