Anyone else think Bloodborne has weaker NPCs than the Souls game? That's the one thing I feel is missing from the game. It's got great bosses, atmosphere, setting but I didn't feel like I got much interaction with any of the characters besides maybe Eileen. The NPCs like Siegmayer or Solaire added some light to the gruesome world which made them memorable.

some are pretty cool
There were less NPCs, but they were more interesting.
Onion Knight and Sunman are memes.
>Onion Knight and Sunman are memes.
You've never met nice or fun people in your life?
sex doll though
Best NPC was Simon in theory. But their executions were very underwhelming desu. And yeah Bloodborne doesn't have any pros over Souls games besides trick weapons.
Uh no?
And the environment/world
the thing with Dark Souls 1 is that several of the NPCs reflected how different players would treat the game in addition to being interesting characters in their own right
>Solaire is helpful and always willing to lend a hand to others via summons
>Siegmeyer overthinks everything and will tend to rely on the help of others even with the additional planning, but is always grateful for the support
>Lautrec is always trying to find more humanity and isn't hesitant to kill friendly characters if it means getting more
>and then of course there's Crestfallen who is everyone who gives up early on
outside of them there's mostly covenant leaders or merchants, who granted also have their own interesting stories, but lack that same kind of player connection the ones mentioned have
>Corridor to corridor level design with 60% of game being set in same gray city?
I don't think so.
She's nice and mysterious, but the game just lacks cool bros you could hang out with..
Bloodborne's main campaign feels finished unlike DS. The Chalice Dungeons are garbage but you can ignore them.
It has less build variety but every weapon is fun to use and there are no utterly useless ones. Unlike DS3 where magic is torture to use.
In terms of themes, art direction and writing I'd also say it eclipses DS.
>oh, no... There is no cynic guy sitting in the hub area.... There is no Onion or Sun bro ;_;... There is no raped witch to save... There is no gruffy blacksmith... There is no arrogant magician mentor or quirky firobro ;_;... There is no shady murderous npc...
Every DS npc is just a parody of himself now. Why bother?
It's easier to make a 60 int or 60 faith character than a 99 arc one user.
>Bloodborne's main campaign feels finished unlike DS.
>half the areas are skippable, most of them are locked behind keys
>the half that isn't is mostly lame outside two or three moments
>story is completely meandering and partly requires you to do the crappy chalices
>Byrgenwerth
>There is no cynic guy sitting in the hub area....
Skeptical man
>There is no Onion or Sun bro ;_;...
Alfred, even has the same voice
>There is no raped witch to save...
Annalise, even has the same voice
>There is no shady murderous npc...
Suspicious beggar
Honestly no. I really like the system they had with the windows where all the responses changed throughout the night progressing. It lacked in quantity but made up for it in quality.
why would I be on Zig Forums if I had?
The only ones who did anything interesting with that were Eileen and Arianna. Everyone else what either not affected or whatever.
You clearly didn't read what I wrote, and you clearly never bothered interacting with the NPCs in Central Yharnam, like Gilbert or Gascoin's children.
Whoa yeah, who could forget coughing guy behind a window. What an amazing NPC.
Yeah that was one of my pet peeves, Eileen is the only one I liked, Alfred was fine too I guess.
Alfred is the opposite of Solaire, Skeptic guy is more of a douche than a cynic, and Annalise is a completely different character than Witch.
Good try though.
Did you think you were making points here?
The problem is they forced you togo out of your way to find these people and invite them to a specific location, and this location isn’t even the “hub” really, since hunters dream exists. And no one in their right mind would invite the Beggar anywhere, you literally see him eating someone at first.
I don't think so, I did.
Bloodborne is a massive meme.
>responding to shitposters
I don't get why the Hunter's Dream is so empty. You've got all these hunters through the game but none of them go there. Even functions that were done via interacting with NPCs in DeS and DaS are just made through a screen in the Dream. They even cut the appearance change mechanic they were going to use for the mirror. There's absolutely nothing interesting going on in there and you just dump souls on levels and weapons as fast as you can and teleport back to the levels or do the same with chalices.
What part of my post was a shitpost?
They did alot of cool things though like how the nun npc looks over when you talk to the whore npc or how iosefca is actually an imposter. Like seriously I didn't know this until someone pointed it out to me.
