Control has one sequence late in it that is worth the whole experience. Prey on the other hand is a worthy inheritor of system shock. Also mooncrash is one of the best DLC's ever.

Prey is great, play that
Bland environments, enemies and powers. Awful supporting cast and main character. No memorable setpieces, items, sidequests or anything that could make going through its dull gray and brown hallways worthwile. It has no creative spark, it just goes through the motions of a 0451 game without accomplishing anything that usually makes those games stand out.
