Sow an act, and you reap a habit.

Would you call this game an ARPG like Deus Ex?

Yes but not really action.

Action-adventure RPG then?

playing pathologic classic and I just finished day 1, certified kino vidya

More like survival rpg. And it's nothing like Deus Ex, the way you interact with objects is abstract, through menus, not in-game physics. But it's my favorite game, fuck the bachelor fuck the kains and more importantly FUCK THE POLYHEDRON amen

That scene of finding that the bachelor had murdered all the soldiers and burned the papers in Lara's house, before you could make in time, is imprinted in my brain as one of the most amazing visuals out of a video game. That and all the solders coming out of the mist to kill you behind the chapel. That whole day was fucking KINO.

Survival RPG sounds wrong. It has more in common with Deus Ex than DayZ, doesn't it?

Both deus ex and pathologic 2 are in my top 5 games of all time but they are nothing alike.

Is it fair to say this is one of my favourite games, but I never want to replay it again?

I would call survival horror same way that Death Stranding is a walking sim.
Also there is no roleplaying or stats.

How does it stack up to first one to those who played?

>I would call survival horror
Is it really horror? It's a scary premise, but it's not really focused on scaring the player like that. Survival horror is also just action-adventure, so I'd call it that.

>Also there is no roleplaying
What about in choosing who to treat and which side to pick at the end?

I replayed it over and over until everyone survived in the end. Took me four playthroughs, two unfinished

On my run I ended up with the two architect brothers dying, the Constable's wife, and the factory owner. I took the kids and my friends all being alive as enough of a victory.

I really did try though, some of them just refused to live.

I haven't played in 2 weeks. I'm on day 9 I believe. I don't know if I can work up the courage to keep going

wtf do you mean work up the courage, it's a video game.

Do it. Shit gets real.

Did first run, had Maria, the judge Eva and Rubin die, everyone else survived. Destroyed the Polyhedron cause fuck the kin.

If you don't play, they'll all die.

Any news on the other two characters?

This is Deus Ex predicting 9 /11 all over again.

It became harder to get groceries and prices went up when the outbreak first hit in NYC too, not just because of the hysteria, but because some people were buying up supplies to resell on eBay.

>looting is not penalized in patho
Hmmmm

The military does get sent in, and they round up looters, though not on account of the looting exactly.

thank you for using /spoiler, user. otherwise that great moment you loved so much would have been robbed from all the anons in this thread yet to reach that part of the game.

Bachelor is such a prick, I love him.

2020 didn't invent typical societal collapse. Neither did Pathologic. We've had millenniums of lack of basic pattern recognition.

>No RPG elements
>The action is few and far between and is just backstepping while clicking the mouse to slowly swing
No.
