The most embarrassing, lowest quality, most INSULTING thing to be ever released with the words "HD" and "Remaster" on the cover. Even the OG developers of the games HATE it. There's a 2 hour review / analysis vid on YT for this mess.
Avoid at all costs. Grab the PC ports + fan patches instead:

Mount the ISOs of 2 & 3, and then run their installers like always.
DON'T use W10's own virtual disc app! It will not work.
Don't install under C:\Program Files\ ! This will cause issues.
The "Enhanced .EXE" is also the no-CD crack!
The SH1 is a PS1 rip that you gotta emulate using ePSXe or PCSX-R.
Follow the SH2 widescreen fix site's instructions to the T, and you should be fine.
For 3 & 4, check the Guide.

-Play in the release order.
-Start with Normal difficulty! Don't do hard on 1st run (espec. SH2).
-Replaying them all is recommended; tons of replay value.
-Turn down the ingame Brightness setting, for better gamma & colors!
-Don't try to kill everything that moves, especially outdoors. Leg it, or sneak!
-Turning OFF the flashlight can really help w/ stealth!

Seriously, don't waste your money on that piece of shit. Get the original PS2 versions. If you want HD graphix, get PC ports. Both are superior to this shit.

Not that user, but I beat Silent Hill 3 for the first time through the hd collection. Mind you I beat SH2 on Xbox OG and love that game. I felt 3 was a good 7/10 but not as good as 2. Would I have had a better time on PS2. Most of the problems I had with the game was too much bad combat.

Different things for different people.
Different games also can differ quite a ton.
I myself got hooked to oldschool survival-horror games at young age, thanks to the original Resident Evils and such. They offer a fairly calm paced, exploration and puzzle-solving heavy experiences, that test your wits and planning skills more than quick reflexes.
Afterwards I moved on to Silent Hill, which provided a much more sinister, more mature sort of experience, with fascinating tales and themes + undeniably gorgeous audio-visual presentation.
I'm not a fan of the jump-spook heavy run/hide simulators that are littering the "genre" these days, and only attract LP creators to make a clown of themselves.
