agreed
and Zig Forums made me buy it
..why did Zig Forums lie to us?
150 hours and counting, one of the best rogues I've ever played.
Better than Gungeon and Isaac, tied with FTL. With mods it's fucking god-tier
explain how its bad
I put it on my wishlist like 2 months ago, when can I get this crap for less than $4 like I got Robot Named Fight
noita is fun
also i haven't played in a while what cool shit has been added since december
Is getting the gog version a good idea? Is 4 bucks but it doesn't have steam workshop
are we at the stage of advertising for the game that we pretend to hate it now
I should try it again one of these days.
Played 20 hours right after release and it got too easy after I learned the cheeses, most of which are supposedly patched now.
>cheeses
like what? I only know some wicked wand combinations
Like just picking the invisibility perk and walking straight to the end.
Or picking up 3 black holes/earthquakes before level 3 and digging to sideworlds for unlimited perks.
you can eat your own vomit
perks, spells, some new areas, reworked hiisi base and jungle. i find the game is a little more generous with fun shit early on
Zig Forums has become such a cesspool that the only way to get replies to a thread about a game is to start off by saying it's shit.
it's genuine trash. its rng garbage that features gameplay equivalent to watching sand fall through your fingers. every pixel simulated my ass, more like every pixel a buggy mess.
so, like, every roguelike/lite?
Unironically GOTY 2019
>when it's so bad it's good
hnnng, that's a good hit
t. filtered by ice caves
The best hits
Physics simulators are when video games went to shit, and are synonymous with the rise of Internet 2.0 and letsplayers and all the trash that gets hyped today.
hmmm yeaaah, get that fuckig gold, yessss
Yeah well check out my sweet skills
*mouth salivates* MMMM YES GIVE ME MORE PIXEL PHYSICS MMMMM THE SAND IN MY FINGERS IS ACTIVATING NY AUTISM
Behold LIQUIDS
It seems like it should be a great game at first, but it's a bad game.
It's not sure what it wants to be. Like, it wants to simultaneously be one of those quick 15-30 minute run roguelikes, but it also wants you to grind for full days on the same run to progress beyond the bad ending, god help you if you die during all that grind and have to do it over.
It also has a great idea for a spell system but it's executed terribly where most spells are garbage or too dangerous to be worth using. Every good run ends up with the same builds where you aim to get explosion/lightning resist and use the same spells. How could they build a system with so much customization and potential and let it be so boring?
It emphasizes grinding out a floor for an hour which gets boring fast especially with the first few floors unlike other roguelikes that let you speedrun through content you've mastered and get some sort of time-limited reward to hook you up with the loot you missed.
There's also a LOT of bullshit deaths. Like something off-screen picking up a staff with nukes on it and you're just dead before you saw anything. And a lot of bullshit in general like spiders tunneling into the mid-floor area and triggering the defense.
It's just an unfortunate mess and they don't seem to care to fix any of its core problems. 6/10.
That's what makes it so good though. You still have to live by the same rules that the enemies do. Like any roguelike, you learn the shit that you need to as you play. And eventually you can use the bullshit against your enemies.
If you want to be a filthy casual, install some mods, there are plenty that make the game easier. The game being hard doesn't make it bad though In fact in means that you are bad
I will now buy your game
name another roguelike that you have to grind for hours to get a decent build. not every game has to be a roguelike, the devs were better off making an actual game, not a physics sandbox with permadeath
Sounds like you just need to git gud
