Played it for a bit up until the naked desert guy then stopped, is it worth getting back into?

r/e/tard

This is a video game dumbass

>is coffee good for you?
is it user?

Not user, but I tend to think of coffee as more of a helping hand. You shouldn't rely on it, and doing so will cause it to turn into an addiction, but it's not inherently bad for you.

jesus fucking christ

Yoko Taro's writing is good. He really nails the essence of a proper tragedy.

Character design in this game is great too. The combat is a bit lacking in nuance and subtle game changing mechanics for my taste.

Just post 2Butt

I enjoyed it but you're seriously like 2 hours into the game at most.

It's a good game, it deserves at least a little proper discussion.

What I couldn't figure out was did the machines create the yorha project, or did they just take advantage of a back door they found.

Yorha was created by the robots with the back door built in from the start.

shut up kid

Wasn't it just the androids that did that?

Easily one of the greatest games ever created.

The yorha androids were all built from machine cores because they didn't think it was fair to make them real androids since they were designed to be expendable.
But if the point of Yorha was to give the androids something to fight for by lying about humanity on the moon, then why bother building a back door that allows the machines to insert logic virus into the bunker's mainframe to destroy yorha?

Wasn't it the machines that created the backdoor?

i think the game is really good, despite dmc autists complaining about the combat being shallow it does its job well and its one of the games with the most soul and personality on this generation, i hope we'll see more from yoko taro

I don't know. The files you find in C/D imply that either yorha intentionally left a back door, or that the entire project was just a keikaku for the machine's forced evolution.

Shallow but usually satisfying combat, and a GOAT story that leverages the interactive dimensions of the medium to unheard of levels. Unironically profound, which I wasn't expecting bc so few games are.

YoRHa was intended to be disposed of after the data was obtained. The goal was to use YoRHa as dispoable test beds, then make the next generation of "real" androids with that data. You'd have Army of Humanity androids pulling YoRHa stunts.

Sidestory tells more. Original planner Zinnia was going to back out of the whole thing, but YoRHa Number 9 killed him and wrote the backdoor and self-destruct during a mental breakdown.

Characters are cool
Writing is awesome
Gameplay is great
Art direction is unique
How am I supposed to play any other game after this?

Loved Automata. I loved the OST to Nier:Gestalt even before I knew what it was, found it on some site. Never played it though. Automata's music was fantastic as well.

Excellent gameplay, good story though a little silly at times. A little too tryhard with the philosopher soup, but it did ask a couple of good thinkers.

And oh yeah: TWINS DID NOTHING WRONG!

I just got the game a couple of days ago.
Loving it so far. My only grioe is that you have to do the side quest to level up but they are actually pretty fun.

They keep mentioning humans...are they safe?

>finish nier automata
>decide to play some more comfy rdr2 after
>try to dash with arthur out of reflex
>accidentally shoot up valentine

They're fine. They're all having tea and cake on the moon.

I wish Replicant would come out already

Are they going to do a sequel? And the ODT is probably one of the best I've ever heard in a vg

>My only grioe is that you have to do the side quest to level up
You can get plenty just from killing the spawns on the map and retrieving android bodies. In my game the flooded city was LITTERED with corpses all the time.

Reminder that 9S is the real main character of Automata.

Replicant/Gestalt are supposed to be getting a re-release, Automata is a kinda-sorta sequel to that (or at least it takes place in the same world, a long long time after replicant).

I was just rrading and Automata sold really well...you think we might get a sequel?
