the launch was a complete disaster, game was pretty much broken, super stingy with premium currency and not good at all. Since then the devs did fix a lot of shit, giving out much more premium currency and drastically cutting the grind down. I'm still playing

2. It wasn't very fun.
3. Appeals to Waifufags rather then fans of the actual Pokémon since the whole deal is more rolling for Trainers and special variants (read: Swimsuit/Summer Santa/Winter variants like every fucking Waifu Gacha) of the trainers.
4. Fuck the Giovanni grind.
5. Gacha is oversaturated as hell, and Go already filled the "Pokémon Mobage" niche for casuals (as it was/is more casual/F2P friendly)

Masters was pretty bad at the beginning (no content, stingy with gems, useless 3*s, events being coop only, insane amount of mats required to level up and increase cap of trainers, farming nodes giving almost nothing at all) but now is way much better to the point I'm actually doing events and dailies.

useless status effects haven't been a thing since the old days of obnoxious EX challenges. They're widely used in battle villa. The two best strikers in the game atm are both megas, charizard and garchomp, the latter by abusing weather to deal absurd damage. And glacia is a great support for villa, she had her redemption arc desu
