Why do we hate Discord again?

discord is a means to an end, it is not something worthy of emotions such as hate. you use discord because thats what most people who are gaming use. thats why we used ventrilo, teamspeak, mumble, skype, ICQ, AIM, IRC, usenet, fucking carrier pidgeons.

when something better gets popular we'll use that because we just want to talk to people we're playing with, theres no fucking brand loyalty here its just what you use because its what people are using

it's closer to socializing with people in real life
which is the opposite of why people liked socializing over the internet

I'd wager most people here use Discord. IRC is deader than a doornail and nobody remembers what bash.org is; and the only people using teamspeak and ventrilo are either really oldschool Quakefags or hardcore Armafags. People pretend to dislike it because "the trannies."

I hate it on PC because nobody talks in regular matches anymore. 9/10 times in a public match with randoms there is 0 teamwork because everyone is in their own discord.

This is such a non-reason to hate something. Trannies using a service that you use makes no difference to you as a user because you just don't have to interact with them. Discord is not some massive public chatroom - you make or join a server with some friends and isolate yourself. Just like any other sensible person.
I've been using Discord for years and the only trannies I've ever encountered were on Zig Forums discords back when I had a very odd phase. And Zig Forums trannies are often pretty nice because they realize how mentally ill they are.

Don't join public discords. You're just going to end up with faggots, powertripping retards and all sorts of bullshit you could avoid. Make your own server with people you know and trust, use it for gaming, chatting, bullshitting around whatever.

Works on my machine. I'm in many 15+ active discords and they're all good. I leave the shit ones and over time I have a bunch of nice ones.
3 of them are Zig Forums related with one being /vg/ and the rest are various friend or private game servers.

I only made a discord account because Jlullaby would only post his stuff there after patreon started giving him shit. He left without notice and we're all waiting for him to come back, so I check back once a week.
