Melee and stealth shouldn't be the default way of killing enemies, you should have to lock down areas then fight back through them dead rising style. It will never be super popular because people don't want to sneak around and count down to synchronized kills and never use half of the weapons available

Yeah the first trailer looked great, but it was selling a game they weren't making. When you have this many loud weapons and only 1 for stealth, your stealth gameplay should only be for setting yourself up with a favourable fight, eg pre-placing tools or killing off the most dangerous guys in the room before the mayhem starts.

I just watched the trailer a minute ago, the game looks like exactly like Left 4 Dead.

Dont tell me its another case of false advertising.... i already got fooled with Jedi Last Order - it turned out to be a wall climbing simulator, but thankfully i managed to get a refund for that shit game. Also gave it 0/10 on metacritic.

I thought the game was going to be balanced between "sneak around and get objectives done" until "we fucked up lets get the fuck out of here, shoot all the ammo".

I was extremely disappointed to find the latter basically never happens; most of what you do in the game is hit things in the back of the head and wipe. Guns were unsatisfying in the beta, including a "light machine gun " that shoots slower than most guns and has less ammo.

All together I'm very disappointed.

Me and a couple of friend bought it last sale, it's a pretty tough game.
One of my friends says it's because the shooting is bad.

The machinegun is so fucking stupid in both iterations so far

Well you have guns and an array of tools that are intended for non-stealth play, like deployable turrets and door sealants, but the devs push you to play their red light green light stealth by framing the open combat as a punishment for fucking up stealth.

If you got a patient group of friends to play it, it's okay I guess. But fuck is the shooting horrible, it hurts my immersion that my character is a dumbfuck who doesn't know how storing things in cabinets work, and also fuck the Reactor mission in the first rundown, it was the most unfun shit I have had to deal with in the whole game.

The reactor one was okay once you realized stuff spawned far away and that you needed to hold chokepoints near the spawn and then work your way back as supply pickups ran out in the outer areas. It was a nice change of pace from all the fucking stealth shit. Although it sucked for whoever had terminal duty.

Tried playing this game a few times with the lads. We'd do fine for a while before running nearly completely out of ammo by the second or third alarm doors, just getting attrition'd to death. Were we missing something? The stealth/melee focus was pretty great.

Yeah, we just got fucked by some stupid bullshit like 6 or was it 8 giants in total by wave 3 that also ate all of our bullets, or running out of ammo just as the last wave started. Also the whole corona thing killed everyone's Internet, and the game really does not work without a decent connection. Never got through that mission as result, but fuck it. I never want to go back to "lol shoot gun at monster" because it's the weakest part in the whole game in my opinion.

Just gotta hoard all the pickups you can while using as little as possible. If you guys screw up too many times and aggro a bunch of rooms, collectively suck at shooting (and the shooting in this game is already not good, to say the least), or are using crappy weapons, then you're fucked.

I feel ya. It really is bad, and they need to fix it. But they can't even get fucking matchmaking in, so I won't get my hopes up. Damn shame, 'cause the game could be pretty cool if they addressed those two things and maybe made stealth less mandatory.

They probably will never make stealth less mandatory with how they want the game to "feel" like, but I wouldn't mind if the devs would take their heads out of their asses and didn't have the game at random put in a million monsters in multiple rooms in a row that you have very little chance of getting through, if their positions end up just right and they're in between your destination. It makes me feel like stealth isn't the right option either when there's six fuckers right next to each other, and if anyone has a bad connection spike at random you fail the synchronized kill and the whole fucking room aggroes as result. If you want a million fucking monsters, have the monster placement be a bit more merciful for teams that actually bother to sneak and kill their way through instead of deciding to place a fuck-you-start-over scenario at random.

Jedi Fallen Order literally marketed itself as uncharted meets dark souls in star wars.

E1 was a pain to do. I can see why the numbers were so low

Thats what largely ended up killing it for my friend group. We liked the game, especially the need for tight coordination. But getting 30 minutes into a mission only to come across an alarm door when we're already fucked on supplies and falling to the hordes was fucking brutal. I also really liked the short snippets of logs for each rundown, pretty spooky. Oh and mega fuck whoever thought the scream at max volume everytime you start the game was ok

kek. It's been a while since I played, so I forgot about that. Yeah, that's cancer, especially since you want to have the volume up fairly high to hear pulses/clicking when you're playing.
