Yeah a lot of people are making this out to be a racial thing but the fact is, police brutality is a very real issue and is not a racial issue. This would not have happened if the US had a competent policeforce, which most other civilized countries do have.

Also unlike the Zig Forumsacks on this site, I do not believe race is the issue. Since there is no actual scientific evidence, this is all opinion: I believe the lack of culture is the issue. Historically black people were brought to America from all over Africa. These Africans shared no culture, because they all came from various different cultures. As such, the only thing they had in common was "bought by the white man and put into slavery". Black Americans entire cultural history is about white people, and none of them are able to celebrate a rich history like most European decendants can.
With a culture that has no pride, carries a historic resentment towards a group of people who also carry a resentment towards you, and a genuine fear of the countrymen made to protect you, I can definitely see how one group of people are overrepresented in violent statistics.
