Stellaris
You mean there's another playstyle than building up your economy and army, invade your neighbour, conquer shit, consolidate, do it again until nobody is left?
I feel like every playthrough is exactly this same shit, that's why I stopped playing. That and also the ridiculous DLC pricing.
I usually play as religiously militant space elves and try to carve out a large chunk of the galaxy, with a bunch of vassals surrounding me as a buffer zone. When the endgame crisis hits I let the rest of the galaxy bloody themselves on it while consolidating my fleet, then smash it in one giant space battle. Then I get bored and start over.
Yeah, plenty of ways how to play the game differently. Unless you're an autistic min/max loser.
That's not my experience at all, and I don't know shit about minmaxing.
But ok.
Sure buddy, except you 100% sound like one.
Doesn't matter. Every game feels exactly the same. Galactic politics still aren't meaningful enough, and the AI is still dogshit. There aren't any internal politics. Literally the only good part about the game is early-game exploration. Once you expand your empire enough to bump into someone else, the game just becomes a snoozefest where you afk until you have all the techs unlocked.
Invading the enemy and taking their planets is a waste of time too. Their planets are always dogshit because the AI doesn't know how to properly manage planets, so the devs just give them tons of free resources to compensate. So you're just stuck with garbage planets if you try conquering them.
The game is more fun in concept than actual execution. But to answer your question, always Spiritualist+Authoritarian, and take Imperial Cult civic. Psionics every time. I just wish there was a proper religion system in the game so I could spread by faith by force across the galaxy
Another min/max retard.
Next.
My favorite is playing a Fanatical Spiritualist/Militant empire that purges entire species of hive minds and Robotics with a Divine Enforcer Colossus. Before vassalising any survivors who proved capable of comprehending God.
Nothing like ysing a Divine Enforcer to kill all the robot pops of a materialist FE world instantly wiping out all of their defensive armies before sending in my psionic armies to occupy the planet.
did they fix endgame lag yet
how do i beat fps death, good GPU or good CPU?
>Noo, you shouldn't try to win
>You should RP for 5 hours in this below mediocre game
Once you know how the game mechanics work, it's just going through the same process every game.
It's only mediocre for you because you won't allow yourself to have fun. You're so insecure you have to keep winning even with a virtual videogame empire.
Yeah that's the thing, there aren't even any proper ways to rp in the game. The first few times you play the game (at least this is how it was for me), you're just blown away by the sheer variety in different empires and events... But after a few games, it becomes painfully obvious that most things are pretty much the same.
It pisses me off because this game has so much potential. If they just fixed the AI, or revamped the combat, or added more things to do with politics, it would be way more fun. I feel like I don't have to make that many decisions in the game. The game needs more decisions to make
Do you even know what min/maxing means, retard?
100% doesn't look like you do.
imagine being this fucking dense. even if you play the game super casually, it isn't fun. The mechanics are broken, and the only interesting parts for rp are the events and research missions. There is no meaningful interaction with other empires, and that's the problem
Damn, you're upset. It's okay to be a min/max loser, user. Not everyone is perfect.
Honestly I always end up playing as an immensely egalitarian science state, or an immensely egalitarian economy state.
The space slave market was fantastic for me becuase since I’m making so much money I can just buy everyone in the slave market and suddenly my population has skyrocketed, there are no empty jobs, I’ve got bonuses to making people feel the same way my race does and everything is gucci.
Maintain good relationships with everyone nearby via liberal application of food and money, and eventually win via federations and diplomacy.
Or eat shit to a really unlucky endgame crisis spawn, one or the other.
Do you enjoy playing Elite Dangerous as well?
I enjoy many things and have lots of fun. Unlike the miserable individuals in this thread, lol.
I like to play as a egatalian - fanatic materialist, build robots and ringworld and dominate the galaxy with tech. The new patch changed that though (it's always changing in stellaris)
Pfff, now we've switched to the "y-you mad" cope phase after you got BTFO. Pathetic.
Imagine being this angry in a random Zig Forums thread. No wonder you can't enjoy Stellaris. You're too emotional.
Nobody is angry, you're trying to assert others are angry in an attempt to cope with you being called out.
Enter CHAD fanatic pacifist
im not even gonna read those posts.
let me guess, warhammer 40k inspired playthrough where you play as the immortal ethnically pure white human empire and you exterminate and enslave all the other alien races in the galaxy.
how fucking original.
now i understand why those uppity niggers in muttlandia are torching the country down.
fucking hate white people.
Alright, you convinced me to reinstall it.
I am going to give it one more playthrough, and then I'll probably make a thread complaining about how boring it is.
>Research particle lance
>nice that took a while, but this is sure to make battles easier
>none of my ship modules have X slots
>turns out you need federations DLC for juggernaut ships
never been more pissed off. what a way to ruin my game
All me, btw
Awwww. Here's a (You) for (You), (You) poor thing.
Technocracy into synthetic evolution is still my favorite way to play, partly because it remains overpowered, even after the small nerfs. I like to habitat spam to cover my mineral needs, and covert all my planets into ecumenopolises (on 0.25x habitable planets to make the habitats even more worth it). Then I neutron sweep the AI and stomp the crisis. Predictable, kind of boring, but somehow still addicting.
What about the other huge kind of ship? The you get through culture?
You barely ever need more than one or two ecumenopolises considering how much jobs you get from those districts. How many pops do you have that you need to transform all planets? Does it take 10 minutes for 1 in-game day to pass?
>autistic min/max loser
imagine using min/max as an insult
let me guess 4k fleetpower 2300?
Stellaris can't be enjoyed because it's a way overpriced broken game that gets more broken after every patch. And they expect you to open your wallet further after every small update.
battleships do have particle lance modules
>Got no L-gates on my side of galaxy
Checked the wiki. Colossus does not have it but Battleship does. Change the bow section of the ship to spinal mount.
>play inwards perfectionist
>literally no interaction with anyone ever
>just afk the whole game
woooooow that sure is funnnn
The titans use S/M/L/H/G slotsand the Colossus uses T slots
You know you can play without paying, right?
ARE CARRIERS NOT USELESS YET
>>play inwards perfectionist
Why would you do that?
