>using 3D mode to creep on a Dark Mistress
Been working on a game like dungeon keeper for years, I feel like it's become too much unlike DK1 for it to be released.
I will likely scrap it and recycle it's assets for another attempt.
reinstallan
the game is fucking awesome. Plus it, and DK2 are on sale on gog for like $2 each. Only thing annoying about the first one was having to constantly isolate Horny because he'd just kill other minions for the hell of it. But when it came to battling heroes, holy crap what he a whirlwind of death.
The last time I pte-ordered a game was Dungeons. They paid literally everyone to lie and say so much was in common with Dungeon Keeper. It's was absolute shit. Nothing like DK but also not a good game. Last I saw they were on #3 and it still looked fucking garbage.
Dungeons 1 sucked hard.
2 is a lot like DK mixed with a classic RTS.
If
someone was working on a game like dungeon keeper 1, what would you want in it?
big titty demons
Play dungeons, and then don't do anything that piece of shit did. It felt like a chinese knockoff dungeon keeper instead of the "spiritual successor" vibe they wantead.
I have played it, I don't understand what the fuck i'm suppose to do nothing makes any sense.
It's like they added resources and went overboard.
Dungeon Keeper 2... oh man. I was so pissed off about the buyout and the shitty ass mobile "version".
Anyone else tried out War for the Overworld? A bit clunky but it felt like Dungeon Keeper 3.
WFTO is alright. Performance is abysmal and the game doesn't have enough creature behavior stuff, but it's pretty neat overall.
heard 3 is the best
just don't let him sleep retard
You probably want War for the Overworld for "spiritual successor". Dungeons series is more like "genre idea expansion" in different direction in each title
can I play it now
Mail me if you want to collab
[email protected]
I'll check it in an hour
Not him. I never played Dungeons but I've heard vaguely of it. I thought it was something closer to an ARPG than pure RTS but still has some dungeon building aspects, unlike Overlord which was essentially Twisted Fantasy Pikmin but "Olimar" could actually do shit in combat.
Just build him his own mini dungeon for himself and keep throwing money at him whenever he gets feisty.
I think not.
No problem dude, best of luck though, I would love to play any DK inspired games.
>what would you want in it?
sorry pal, but someone already made them
the only way yours could be better for me is if you manage to hire a way better artist, pull off actually recreating DK gameplay and adding way more stuff like multiple routes, secrets, endings, various kinds of sex scenes

Your taking this better than, I had expected.
I thank you for that.
Still, If you want to talk about DK1 and updating then we can do so here.
Now, I like DK1 as everything is worked around gold but once gold has ran dry a dungeon cannot function.
I think this is why they added *create gold* in DK2, which defeats that purpose but the casino in DK2 adds a way to make gold from creatures but should be expanded to have sub rooms?
I like the idea of sub rooms that work within rooms that can be unlocked later.
In the case of the casino, I'd say more of a way to keep creatures in there longer rather than increasing the gold amount as creatures only have the gold that they make from you.
Dungeon keeper is 80% tutorial drip feeding you new features until you get maybe two levels to use all of them in and then the game ends.
Multiplayer exists for that very reason.
I'M HORNY
I love the gem seam
Alternatively, praying at the temple keeps horned reapers happy.
>Japanese game
>several video trailers
>still no clue what the game is or what it even looks like
Every single time
thats like every trailer ever
Does mp even work on modern systems?
Need a bigger treasur(y)!
>Does mp even work on modern systems?
Yeah, Serial connections are easy to fake and if you want to play against the AI you just hack the game files to think it's playing against another player.
Want to play on MP maps against one or several AI opponents?
Isn't exactly a "HowTo" in the classical sense as you only have to add a single line. Maybe this is common knowledge but I've always liked the skirmishes more than the actual campaign. With this change, the "Multiplayer" menu ingame has a new option, "1 Player".
Windows: Add "-1player" to the game's .exe shortcut.
Like this: ".../somewhere/Dungeon Keeper/Keeper.exe" -1 player
Dos: Add "/1player" when executing the game's .exe.
Like this: C:\Program Files\Bullfrog\Keeper\keeper/1player
With GoG's preconfigured DosBOX version:
Modify the dosbox.DK.conf file in the install directory. Change the second to last line from "Keeper.exe" to "Keeper.exe/1player".
Neat trailer does it comes with gameplay?
For real I will give this a try if it actually scratches the itch DK left.
