Has a game ever given you nightmares, or otherwise influenced your dreams? Not counting when you were a kid, so stuff from about 16 and up.
I've been playing through P5R recently and after a 10-hour session the other day, I went to bed and dreamed I met my family's shadows in the metaverse -- spooked me a bit and made me have some realisations about my relationship with them.
Anything like that ever happen to you?

Post more of her.
a shitload of them that i still remember and plan to use as reference if i ever make a game, so i can make fucked up levels and scenarios
I sometimes see elements of video games like items, icons, or locations in my dreams but that's about it. My dreams are sadly rare and vague despite efforts to fix that.
I used to have dreams where I would lose a game of street fighter and woke up all salty
played condemned 2 at release and no joke gave me a sweating nightmare
Vermintide
I sometimes have dreams I'm playing CSGO with the buds, but we're like "in" the game. Like as if its really good VR or something.
Silent Hill 3. Was young when I played it, expected Resident Evil type shit but got something entirely out of my league for that age.
This is what your high-school crush looked like when she woke up from a dream where she was forced to be in the same breathing space as you for an extended period of time and she had to pretend to not hate your guts and you tried making small talk with her
the game of life
I had my first video game related nightmare at 18 when I first played Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines, when I played the the Ocean House Motel quest for Terese. Place was spooky as hell and unerved me greatly (I had never played a game like that before in my life, so it was scary for a sheltered normie), but what actually fucked me up was when I descended in the small dumb waiter from the bar area to go down into the kitchen. I dreamt repeatedly of being trapped in the small dumb waiter in my nightmares, and it descending forever and ever, with my screams being muffled the further I went down. Apparently my room mate said I was screaming out for help in my sleep, and it was 'annoying as hell'. Weird thing to fuck my subconscious up really.
When I was younger parasite eve scared the shit out of me. The scene where the rat transformed and the clown died really did it for me
Most vivid I had recently was when I binged on Shadowman music and dreamt about the creepy ass hotel with the skin furniture.
Never again.
do girls really sleep naked? that's kinda hot
Dead Space

All the time if I play a game for too long. Usually its me dreaming from the camera's perspective as the game plays itself out.
Not really, the only things that kinda gave me nightmares were Marble Hornets and The Enigma of Amigara Fault
Who’s the girl?
>Vermintide nightmares
what exactly about the game spooked you, swarms of starving rat men trying to devour you?
One did as an adult.
Is having nightmares about what you experience in real life as an adult a soi trait?
>playing rainbow six siege
>nothing makes sense
>still trying my best to not let my team down
>somehow I'm the last alive on the last round
>the whole game is nonsense, the rules don't make sense, the physics and layout of the map is fucked, the guns don't shoot like they're supposed to
>I am perpetually confused and just trying to not spill my spaghetti in front of everyone
One of the most stressful dreams I can remember. I can't even explain how it didn't make sense, it was like everything was just "off", like I was playing in some bizarro world.
world of horror gave me a couple of nightmares when i used to have a dipshit habit of playing it before going to bed for a while
Big empty cube room in an underground facility (50m across) filled to 15% with a black/brown liquid containing a smaller cube at the level of the liquid, there was a gigantic sow in the cube (legs halfway submerged) with her infants in the smaller cube. The smaller cube was open at the top for the sow to smell (her eyes had been taken out) her children, and the bottom of the smaller cibe wasn't solid but made of a hard jelly.
The black liquid contained flesh eating worms who ate major parts of the sow's legs and also ate part of the floor of the smaller cube. The sow would scream helplessly as the worms devoured the insides of her leg bones while the smaller cube's floor would become too small and her children would fall into the liquid.
I think it's from scp.
>or otherwise influenced your dreams?
After I finally defeated Nightmare King Grimm in Hollow Knight for the first time, I dreamt about NKG three damn nights in a row.
Besides the tetris effect I can remember playing a lot of bully and in my dreams I would still have that clock and I had to finish my dreams before the bell.
Death stranding.
Nightmare of being wagecuck DHL worker
>Has a game ever given you nightmares,
Nightmare, no, I rarely get nightmares. Whenever I get in a bad situation in a dream I just make like Goku and teleport out, I've never mastered any other sort of lucid dreaming technique but I have mastered the Instant Transmission. Running away from monsters and suddenly my legs become spaghetti? Teleport out. I've been wrongfully accused and the police are on my tail? Teleport out. I'm suddenly back in school and I forgot my big project at home? Better believe I teleport home and then teleport back.
> or otherwise influenced your dreams?
All the damn time, the only factor needed to have it occur is to just spend a whole day playing whatever games it is, If I spend a day playing Tetris I have dreams where I pack objects into neat rows. If I play Mount and Blade all day I have dreams where I drive around a map delivering goods from place to place and occasionally trying to hunt down bandits. If play a flight sim all day, my dreams will revolve around flying.
iktf
Sounds boring. Sucks to be you.
You're fucked user, they call him the Nightmare King for a reason.
I've used EasyRPG for RPGmaker games so much, I tried to ctrl+F through my dreams
I've had zombie dreams caused by playing project zomboid. I've also had dreams where I'm just playing project zomboid. They're all stressful as fuck.
Fallout 4 Far Harbor, I guess.
I had a nightmare about a giant wearing this thing and hunting me down in the forest. It would move through the trees and bushes with surprising agility for its size and made noises like a boiling kettle. It caught me and squashed my body with its fingers like some kind of bug.
Then, the hunt would start from the beginning. It repeated itself like ten times with the same end before I woke up screaming in 2 A.M.
Another one with S.T.A.L.K.E.R aesthetics.
I'm at an abandoned train station and I know evil is here. I walked down a flight of stairs and all the evil in the world was written on a wall (it was a notorious pedophile in my country that wrote it).
I tried to kill him but he disappeared I ran back to my home where everyone was preparing for the end, the world qtarted burning and a massive crevice opened into the earth, the only remaining humans were those who managed to stay on a US. carrier but fell in an underground waterfall as I watched them helplessly, then had one final look at the surface of earth before the pedophile smiled at me and died again.
Probably the lost forrest portion of pokemon firered and leafgreen, fuck all that shit.
I dunno, I sleep pretty well and have ever since I mastered the Instant Transmission, better than all those people who wake up groggy and half asleep because their bad dreams keep them up.
Sorry to hear about your loss. It’s alright champ, you’ll get over it some day.
When I was a kid I had a recurring "nightmare", if you could call it that, where I am standing on the edge of a cliff above massive gears and machinery. There was another person there with me, a girl I think, and though nothing in the dream (other than "looking at a long fall into grinding machinery") was openly hostile, I just had a constant feeling of sheer terror like I've never felt in my waking hours, because I felt that the gears would have me one way or another, and I couldn't make myself walk away. Said gears were also oiled seemingly with blood, and the fear I think came from the fact that eventually in the dream the girl was gone, and though I never saw it happen I had the feeling they went into the gears.
Sometimes I would fall, or walk off the edge, but I'd wake up before reaching the machinery below.
I had completely forgotten these recurring "nightmares" until I saw this thread, and now for whatever reason remember the dream vividly. Thank you for reading my blog, please remember to like and subscribe.
nightmares are rare, but I have dreams almost every night. some of them are about games.
when I still played minecraft, I had many dreams about it, usually it had more features or felt like real life. in particular there was a recurring one where I was shoveling a huge pile of dirt under a nice sunny sky. the dirt would pile up to my neck for some reason and feel like mud. it was really enjoyable.
also I played cave store for the first time recently. had a dream about it last night, set on an old rusty oil rig, and I had to do quests like buy bread from a baker and bring it to a mimiga. then I, my brother and my mom went exploring a tall abandoned office building. the lights in the stairs that went up were out, so I had to find a switch in a back room, which also activated a robot and numerous critters along the stairs. we eventually climb to the top, where a library supposedly holds the memories to the robot. we go through the books to find something but then I woke up.
When I was young I've had genuine fear of the dark because my stupid ass thought it'd be a good idea to play games like Fatal Frame and Silent Hill during the evening/night.
I still remember particularly having nightmares about the straight jacket things from SH.
I had dreams about VR, where it becomes full dive VR.
I had one where I played WoW in full dive VR as an orc shaman and had to grab totems out of my backpack, summoned some wolves by imagining it and went ham on a dragon with my two axes.
Best dreams I ever had where I wasn't lucid.
I dreamt i was doomguy in a weird modded version of doom. Instead of a rocketluancher i had like a 20mm autocannon called the "Gigacannon" and the super shotgun was a "Quad-barrel shotgun" with, you guessed it, 4 barrels. It was trippy.
Does this girl actually have a manga or is it just images on twitter
