Annette fits that bill way more than Ingrid when it comes to Lions. Every male character that interacts with Annette always talks about how great and flawless she is. Even edgelord like Felix can't be edgy when it comes to her.
Only one hitting on Ingrid is Sylvain, but he hits on pretty much anything. Her support with Felix is all about "I almost married your brother." while Dimitri one is "I'm sorry I let your husband-to-be die for me."
Overall, Marianne is the biggest otome protagonist. Every single male character that comes in contact with her instantly throws their character/development away so they can wank Marianne over and over again, and all of her fucking supports are the same.

Ingri is the omtome protagonist because of her role, not how she's treated. She has all the basic otome game archetypes to choose from

He looks like the type of guy that imagines boars in order to get hard while having sex with somebody else.

Marianne actually goes through character development and dramatically changes between part 1 and part 2. Also the fact that if you didn't recruit her she doesn't go through that development and ends up making good on her confession that she was planning to kill herself is one of the best uses of the time skip for the individual units.

Also her S support is cuter than anyone else's, and actually acts as a proper conclusion to her arc, which is what all S supports should have been.
