What's the best units for Grom?
GOBBOZ!
Should I choose Giant or Giant spider?
Spider. Giant is terrible.
BASED GAMES WORKSHOP!
Gobbos, gobbos, and more gobbos.
>Playing Tyrion
>Military ally drags me into another war every 4 turns
>Decide to decline after the fifth war
>All of a sudden everyone hates me even more than when I was fighting them
>Avelorn won't sign a peace treaty even though they only have one settlement left and their ally that I initially declared war on was wiped out
>Won't move from single settlement where they already have an army garrisoned, impossible to siege without losing my entire army
>Chrace then declares war on me from the north completely blocking my troops from moving or they will start taking all my settlements
I'm never signing a military treaty again
How are the Greenskins? Are they brainless? I don't want to micromanage all of my troops, I want to shitstomp people with a giant tide of infantry, positioning is for gays.
First time playing, I'm going with dwarfs after having a low iq moment with Franz, what the fuck do I need to do to keep my people satisfied? Public disorder is at -50 yet I'm steamrolling through orcs and goblins.
>Our fantasy settings are grim and dark
Truly
>military ally
I never sign anything other than defensive pacts. I only sign defensive alliances if I intend to confederate with them.
I pretty much never sign military alliances. The AI is far too stupid.
mouse over the icon and it will show you whats causing it to fall.
Slow your roll. There are Public Order penalties for taking a settlement that take time to go down. Usually 20-30 for 1 turn after taking it, with 10 that is reduced at one per turn. Take too many at once and the order will plummet.
Being Dwarfs you might also have outstanding Grudges giving you factionwide order penalties so check those out and get the more egregious ones dealt with.
You broke an alliance which makes you untrustworthy so no one else will want to sign a treaty with you for some time. That is the risk with Military alliances since your ally can drag you into wars you don't want. Defensive Alliances also carry that risk but in general you will have those with factions who share your area and have a shared interest in keeping each other safe. It is also a good lesson on why not to spam Non-Aggression pacts as you might have to break them if an ally ends up at war with that faction as violating the NAP means you are untrustworthy.
The Elves basically have 2 sides on their little island and you can tell who is fine to sign deals with based on who they already have favourable relations with. If you side with everyone or even just hand out NAPs you will get stuck in the middle with everyone hating you and no choice but to unify the island by force.
Fun fact: You can paint you models anyway you want :)
They should really let you respec legendary lords after a confederation, because I swear the A.I. somehow manages to always pick the worst options.
>GW IDF
Imao
There are respec mods, or you could get a 3 skill point per level mod which will make whatever their choices were redundant with a few level ups. I do agree though that they should just have an option to reset the Lord's skill points on confederation so you can spec them yourself.
It gives me a warm feeling to know my photo is still making the rounds.
They literally, unironically look like fucking corpses. What the hell
I just started playing but I'm not sure what to really do. I started with Tyrion with high elves, did some battles, captured a town, and made another army, but my units are looking pretty worn out. Is it right to just wait and recruit a bunch of fresh units before continuing on?
merge your diminished troops into fresh piles, and recruit to fill up the gaps
There were a number of poor design and presentation choices for the SoBs with their plastic release. Which is a pity as the kits themselves are fantastic in terms of detail and options, except for the Repentia. The poor painting choices by the 'Eavy Metal team also don't accurately reflect what the faces will look like if painted by someone actually trying to make them look feminine.
A lance into his fucking skull
>Which is a pity as the kits themselves are fantastic in terms of detail and options
Get a load of this drone
What are the easiest factions?
Trying to mirco a front line while the flanking cavalry gets stopped dead in it's tracks by the single enemy regiment that decided to walk that direction is getting old.
FASTER
Dwarfs or HE probably. With Dwarfs you can literally just sit back and blast the enemy as they came your way (use organ guns against cav as they cease to exist after a couple of blasts regardless of what they are).
The new pump wagons are fucking awesome. They chew through any infantry that doesn't have bonus v large.
Put a troll hag in there, a rogue idol or arachnarok, maybe a couple big unz for anti-large, a few pump wagons (like 2-4), maybe 1-2 trolls for anti-armor (smacking a pump wagon into the backs of them also works), and the rest gobbos and gobbo archers. Take regular goblin infantry but take night goblin archers. I think I only had 5 or 6 goblin melee with everything else but I didn't need more because they never took casualties.
Oh shit, you can do that? Damn. Also when I get a new lord, how many units should I recruit before they're ready to go be useful?
Get tier 1 goblin missile infantry and turn them into helstorm rocket batteries through good eatin'
I'm glad they killed fantasy
>Phoenix Gate gets sieged
>Artillery can't figure out how to shoot over the wall and constantly reposition themselves
VERY cool, Creative Assembly
This can’t be real.
why not? all the other big kids are doing it
>vampire counts wiped out
>sylvania still covered in corruption
>provinces keep rebelling
>skaven going back and forth sacking settlements like pinball
>orcs repeatedly smacking themselves against helmgart's walls
>elector counts resettling my razed settlements
>chaos just showed up
things are going pretty well, actually
>Helmgart gets fucked by Orks
>Bretonnia immediately takes it
Opportunistic French cunts
Spear Gobbos, a few sneaky gobbos if you want armor piercing melee infantry, archer gobbos, pump wagons which are chariots that can chew through infantry even when bogged due to unit animations, trolls and that range chucking idol, Goblin Big Boss and the Troll Hag for your heroes. Any spare slots you can customize out, leave your spiders, gobbo cavs and night goblins for someone like Skarsnik who'll indirectly get buffed by your cooking. Considering you can confederate him early, the two of you become unstoppable cheap stacks the AI seethes at when their elite infantry get Gobb'd. Your only weakness will be Elves with elite ranged infantry in large numbers who can dish out some casualties before your Gobbo archers get in range, snipe your pump wagons before they get too close and start wittling down your goblin line. Luckily Grom himself is great at hunting down archers.
Elite stacked Empire with infantry and cav that can bog you while their rockets start spamming can also get nasty as they chew through Gobs so you want to get on those things pronto.
I just started playing this game the steam sale. no DLC. going thru tutorial. shits fun so far. I'm trying to get better at battles
you know when you sever a head the blood drains out of it and it loses it's color right?
