>main character is the villain
What other games do this?
Main character is the villain
nier 1
>pic
whoa, so deep, like i totally agree with that and it makes me feel smarter for doing so
Aria of Sorrow and Dawn of Sorrow, kinda.
persona 5 royal
If you know in your heart that what you are currently experiencing is not real, and you continue to indulge in it, then yes, it is escapism.
No matter how much you enjoy it, its just not real. Everyone had a problem with that, besides Marche.
What gives the material world more value then a 'fake' world?
Insecure much, zoomer?
>it is escapism
>No matter how much you enjoy it, its just not real
I dont see the problem with escapism as long as it doesnt consume your life and have a negative impact
also, ive never played the game
Of course she's evil. She's an angry bulldyke.
Your frame of reference, and the reality you leave behind.
Not to mention one of the objectives of the game as Marche is to destroy the "power sources" of the "fake" world, lending further credence to the idea that its just an illusion, not real, and merely layed on top of the reality they already know.
>kinda.
nope.
Having a bad ending doesn't mean your MC is the "baddy bad", especially when these endings are non-cannon.
>i don't care about escaping to something fictitious
>I blindly assume that I will keep liking this shit in the future, even though I am already bored of it at the present and am shitposting on vee instead of playing videogames
>All my fellow colleagues will always move on to green pastures, while I get left behind like the fat loser I am, but m-muh I don't care eheheheh
How can you out yourself as a loser neckbeard so easily, man?
Shadow of the Colossus
>i don't care about escaping to something fictitious
So? If I experience it with my senses, and I can influence it, or vice versa, does it matter which layer it is on?
Wish someone would have asked him what exactly is not healthy about it. Marche clearly did not want his brother healthy enough to walk.
It had a negative impact on everyone else. The bullies you deal with at the start of the game are turned into zombies you fight in one of your first missions. If it happened to them, imagine many other turning into monsters as well.
People who crave this kind of escapism where they just want to be put in some faggy safe space where they will never experience anything bad should just fucking off themselves already. They would be far more respectable doing that. What fucking spineless cowards they are, hating reality so much, yet being unwilling to even attempt to change it or having the dignity to go out by themselves, they instead choose to utilize something borne of someone else's hard work while rotting away themselves.
Eh. Abby’s more like that
To be fair, Mewt was 12 when he dreamed up this world, a child going for escapism makes much more sense. Him growing up is part of the illusion shattering, bringing him back to the real world and deal with his real problems instead of running away.
This is what the post ironic world looks like.
God dam zoomers.
[PROTOTYPE]
E.Y.E. depending on what you believe the true ending is, that's all I can think of.
By supressing and avoiding issues either physical or mental instead of confronting them you inhibit your own growth as an individual and never progress foward; you become weak because you can't handle stress or the uncomfortable
Oh yeah it's understandable in the context of the game but these threads are always filled with overgrown neet losers arguing for that position who should be far past that kind of thinking like this faggot
All the Wario Land games technically.
It's weird, even as a kid, despite the wonderful worlds I dreamed up, I always liked waking up back in the normal world again. My life wasn't crazy and adventurous and I liked it like that.
In Baten Kaitos for a large portion of the game there was a mole in the party. In a plot twist later it turns out that the traitor is you. So I guess that counts.
