It's janky but the atmosphere is fantastic. It mixes fantasy magic with modern weaponry like guns. Again though, it's jank so don't expect good gunplay. Play it for the atmosphere alone.

That's right, though it's not the same FromSoft as today. I've played King's Field 4 as well. Have them both on physical discs. Aside from some bullshit crumbling floors early on that kill you instantly that game is quite enjoyable too. Suffers the same jank as Shadow Tower, though. Namely the slow camera turning is a big turn off for people I've showed the games to.
