They had the advantage of using face-scan technology to model a real person. Having a qt model and a qt voice actress helped out a lot, too. I always found her attractive more within the parameters of somebody being bro-tier, not so much as romance. Then again, I had a asian tomboy friend in my youth who looked like her, we were both into vidja. Still friends with her now.

Assuming they bring back the normal-aged Alyx for Half-Life 3, they probably will. But I've heard in some circles that there may have been a fallout between Merle and Valve. I hope not, but I've warmed-up to Ozioma.

The HEV suit is designed to only administer morphine at select intervals. It doesn't over or under inject it. But it still begs the question as to how he has been able to make such a journey in HL2 alone without completely being destroyed or OD'ing right in the middle of Highway 17. He could be autistic enough to keep track of the smallest details in his condition to ensure survival.

Isn't this canon in the Uncharted series? They keep the strawberry jam because it's a game mechanic, but they say in a protip or an interview that Nathan isn't actually "getting hit" by the bullets.

To be fair, he canonically invented a butane-powered tennis ball launcher when he was five. Maybe he's always had an interest in the functionality of weapons, in addition to the usual science stuff.

I always thought it'd make more sense that instead of blood effects, the visuals in such games made it look like bullets were just getting closer and closer to hitting you, until you run out of 'health' and actually get shot

It sounds awful, she sounds way way too old, gruff like she smokes cigarettes. And mannish and angry. Really just sounds like a 50 yearold Alyx. She also completely misses the lines' correct delivery. You get We wuz black n shet, im a stronk woman delivery instead of what the game needs. I can see why she was replaced, it mist have been a disaster and she was likely uncooperative.
Valve did good cutting her, and the new voice actress sounds very similar to the hl2 Alyx.

It's better than the Destiny/Halo artstyle, at least. Nu-Prey is also a better game than any Halo.

Never got that impression from Ozioma's performance. Honestly when I first heard her voice, it sounded kind of like what Chell from Portal would sound like if she could talk.
