Sites like Jisho will let you draw kanji or pick out kanji based on radicals, but it's really going to help if you learn to recognize all of the radicals by doing something like Remebering the Kanji first.

Use genki and do vocab on anki. As you learn words you will infer meaning and learn readings automatically.

I wanted to pass the JLPT this summer but it has been postponed or canceled this year in Tokyo so fuck it. I should be more or less at the N3 level by now and it weirds me out when I understand more or less Japanese spoken dialogues in games but I have brain farts when I read instructions or commands in Japanese with complicated, archaic kanji. Even worse when Ii play in English or French with Japanese voice acting and the dialogues don't match with the subtitles.

You need something like... 10-20 exposures to a word before it's solidified.
The purpose of Anki is to give you those exposures artificially rather than relying on random chance that they appear in the wild.
The purpose of screencapping where you encounter certain words is to provide full context for it, which will give you stronger memory for it and its usage. It also counts as reading proper since you naturally will read the sentence(s) included in the capture.
