FAT FUCK
Shannon jumps out the window, turns into Kannon and frees Battler. It's stupid, but that's how people explained it to me.
When Kyrie brought the letters that Battler wrote to his cousins, (at the time he was away from the family conference) she handed them all to George, he then proceeded to hid the one that was adressed to Shannon.

DLANOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
>throws an autistic fit over Knox’s rules
>when the story implicitly doesn’t follow the rules in the first place (see Genji and Knox’s 5th)
Why does no one call her out on this?

>Taiwan
>Chinaman
Pick one
Why is battler such a fucking loser?
Iirc, it was something stupid about kanon swapping with him, and/or something stupid about not putting it past Kinzo. It doesn’t really matter, the only thing of value in Umineko is the music and the infinite shitposting potential.
Battler didn't even remember Yasu, there never was a letter
The VN wouldn't be nearly as entertaining if he wasn't fucking retarded.
Even if we discount that, there is still no reason to think the story has to follow Knox’s rules.
Sure there is, user
It's a murder mystery, after all

Umineko made a really good point about the mystery genre. Mainly that there's no real "gotcha's" left to be had in it if you follow rules like Knox's commandments. There's only so many ways you can make a fair closed room mystery without any supernatural elements or cheap tricks.
So? Knox was just some autist saying mysteries SHOULD follow his rules, writers have no compulsion to actually listen to him, and it’s quite easy to imagine a perfectly solvable mystery that violates his rules.
That's the point.
The "chinamen" rule doesn't mean "no asian people." It was written specifically because Dr. Fu Manchu was a popular villain at the time and everyone stole the idea of having the mysterious foreigner be the bad guy, even when it was really obvious that the mysterious foreigner is always going to be either the culprit or an accomplice. The rule is basically "don't put in an obvious foreign bad guy that everyone and their mother will correctly guess."
>there never was a letter
devil's proof, it's impossible to prove that something doesnt exist therefore you cant say that were was never a letter
It is also impossible for you to prove there was a letter.
>mfw the beatoriche and virgillia fight in ep3
what was the expression supposed to portray?
Not him, but Knox's rules are a good guideline to follow as a newfag for mystery writing, until you know how to properly break the rules. It's just a set of rules to write a fair mystery, but obviously kind of tight assed. Even at the time a lot of stories violated his rules but weren't considered shitty mysteries.
Even if he's drunk, Battler is still the detective. 2nd game is invalid.
>it's devils proof, I refuse to explain!
For me, it's Rosa...
Mysteries need not be closed room.
>>>Zig Forumsattler+wrote+a+letter+to+shannon
Yes, but nothing about a good set of guidelines existing proves that a particular story follows them.
He gave up the game even before he started drinking. It's valid.
What's not to like about her? She's great.
I just finished episode 6 last night. I thought it was weak until battler revealed that it was just a prank but Erika killed everybody anyway then it was kino
Episode 6 ending and the entire second half of Episode 8 is non stop kino.
