PC gaming will cuck all three

I hope Nintendo goes 3rd party

Zig Forums isn't allowed to buy any of the systems because they're all traitors to America.

What are you playing today, Zig Forums?

So far it's cucking Xbox hard and about to cuck Playstation as well
Nintendo refuses to let any games they own and care about to be on PC

The Big 3 have reached a point where they're no longer competing
Nintendo has found their niche in hybrid systems and vidya that's more focused on gameplay
Sony took upon the whole cinematic experience thing with strive and now cater to HBO watching normalfags along with dabbling with VR
Xbox might compete again with Series X given all the ammunition they've been building up but for now, they're focusing more on accessibility
Nintendo isn't trying to go after Sony's audience and Sony isn't trying to go after Nintendo's
Xbox is trying to have any audience at this point

Cuck playstation faster please i have some PS exclusives i really want to play but cant

Cope, you fags say that every generation yet you’re the first ones to go spastic when you get a port of an old ass console game. Just look at all the Bloodborne port threads there are today. It’s almost as bad as Nintendies getting excited for ports from 10 years ago and then claiming it as proof that the Switch has third party support.

Literally fuck off and make your own thread instead of posting unrelated shit on someone else’s

Also, Sony and Microsoft can't do hybrids
The technology to make a powerful hybrid that surpasses the Xbone and PS4 isn't affordable yet
Nintendo will still have a monopoly on the concept for now

What is Nintendo's next gimmick gonna be ? The switch was their final form of home console meets handheld. What else can they do? A next gen switch that has Wii motion controls built in?

Nintendo and Sony are doing well as far as offering systems with games to play. You can say their exclusives are shit and you're welcome to that opinion but at least they have them. MS on the other hand has the weakest offering of exclusives and to make matters worse, they aren't even real exclusives as they are all available for PC, making it completely pointless to own an XB. If you want a console, buying both PS4 and Switch is your best bet, otherwise just get a PC.

As for the future...
Nintendo won't be announcing anything because they are actually in the middle of 9th gen right now. The Switch IS their 9th gen console, they just jumped in early because the WiiU bombed so hard. Given that the Switch is still doing very well, there's no reason for them to kill it early just to put out a more powerful new generation console this early. The most they will do is put out the rumored "Switch Pro" but we won't be seeing anything brand new.
It's hard to say where Sony is going to go with the PS5 but I can't imagine it won't be a solid console with plenty of games to play, be they exclusive or not. They have consistently performed well in the end in every generation thus far and they haven't shown any real reason to believe this won't just be more of the same with a more powerful box.
MS on the other hand I think is going to continue to flounder as a console, especially because they are embracing the PC space and releasing all exclusives for both their console and their Win10 PCs. I'm not saying that's a bad thing but it really just begs the question of why they are even bothering to stay in the console race anymore. It just seems like a waste of time and resources. I understand that many like consoles because of their simplicity and their use as an all-in-one media box but in that case, it would be better for MS to just sell cheaper prebuilt PCs with console specs instead of blowing their resources on a dedicated console.

Switch Pro. The Nintendo DS was massively successful, and they continued their handheld sucess with the Switch.

someone in the industry will inevitably come up with something cheaper on paper to entice normalfags away from the switch once the novelty wears off - just like what happened to the wii when smartphone "games" started taking off.
the ps5 and series x will both underperform because of the current economic recession and their retarded policies of cucking "exclusives" out to pc. whoever pulls their head out of their ass first will win the generation (most likely sony, because microsoft just doesn't give enough of a shit about gaming).

Most people that play on consoles play exclusively on consoles and do not have a gaming PC

If a game is only on the Xbox console that is an exclusive. No console player is going to build a PC to play Xbox games when they can just get a Xbox for half the price possibly even more than half

Zig Forums swears they are the end all be all of the gaming community when they're a small drop in the pond. Xbox does have fans believe it or not not everyone agrees with the hivemind that XBOX BAD PLAYSTATION GOOD

Xbox is trying to make first party exclusives (finally). If any of them catch fire and create franchises Xbox might have a chance. If Xbox were ever to make a comeback from the xbone it would be with the series x

>What is Nintendo's next gimmick gonna be ?
something completely different, because "muh portability" won't work again to distract from their cheapness and put a superficial spin on what are otherwise the same rehashed games. they will also make sure it's structurally incompatible with the switch so they can sell you mario kart 8 and new super mario bros. u for $60 all over again.
the hybrid concept will be unceremoniously dumped just like motion controls, dual screen gaming, stereoscopic 3D, and asymmetrical gameplay were once they stopped serving their purpose.

>No console player is going to build a PC to play Xbox games when they can just get a Xbox for half the price
Right but they do that for price and simplicity's sake. MS could just as easily develop a console grade PC that they can sell for the same price as an XB and it would serve the same purpose with less dedicated resources and proprietary components required to develop it. They are already pushing Win10 as their universal operating system so what's the difference?

>so what's the difference?
The average person wants to play games on their couch with their tv in the most simple way possible rather than buy a desk, chair, mouse keyboard, monitor, and do all the other shit that PC players have to do to play a game. The majority of their consumers are normal people that just want to play Madden, not hardcore gamers that want to drop their entire lives into gaming.

I'm enjoying the Switch and it's games, pretty much enjoyed all first party games on it with the exceptions of Super Mario Party, the Pokemon Let's Go and Sword/Shield and Little Town Hero.
Don't like how movie focused Sony is, but here comes Activision giving me the Crash ans Spyro remakes (despite their flaws). Spider Man was great too. Hoping for Ape Escape 4.
Don't own an Xbox at the moment, but I hope it will release games I'd like to play with the next console.

PC's can be plugged into a TV. Only thing they need to do differently with this machine is make the case a little more friendly for an entertainment center and pack it with a wireless keyboard and mouse so the PC features can be used from the couch. Xbox Controllers are already supported by Win10 so throw one of those in as well.

Microsoft leaves the market, Nintendo goes third party, Sony wins(as always)

When has PC ever been relevant.

>Xbox is trying to have any audience at this point
Xbox has the dudebro audience.

Xbox SeX is a hybrid, a console/PC.

Sour about their win streak, much?

Nah. I don't understand why everyone thinks Xbox will leave the market. It's not gonna happen. The xbone wasn't as big of a failure as people think it was

>Nintendo goes third party
Literally never going to happen. They are sitting on a stockpile of money large enough to survive several console flops (The WiiU didn't even put a dent in them) and their current system is still selling well. They also don't give a fuck about power and build everything out of much cheaper hardware making it stupid easy to turn a profit. Nintendo will never go third party. They are easing up on letting their IPs be used by other developers but they will never drop out of consoles because that is what allows them to retain control of their IPs.

Sonyfags are the only ones that want this to happen because they know that it is Sony who will possibly go third party or leave the market.
