Computer died on me (wont boot anymore). I was planning on saving up until Black Friday or Christmas to get a new computer but I dont think I can last that long without one.
Is it worth buying a computer for >700 dollars and upgrading it with parts as the time goes on?
Computer died on me (wont boot anymore)...
holy soul, how do i play this version of ds2
wait for stayd3d to finish his mod
okay i answered your question please answer mine
Can't you just troublecheck the issue and only replace what's broken?
dont buy a new computer, try to fix your current one as long as everything isnt entirely fucked up.
My computer is dead to me.
what he did?
maybe
parts are expensive right now. mobos and psus are crazy expensive
if you post a 700 dollar build itll probably be ass but post it anyway so i can tell you how bad itll be
isn't that what you usually do? Buy a computer and upgrade from time to time?
Whats your problem? Motherboard/CPU died? Just buy some new stuff, put it in your case, keep all the HDD/SSD, PSU, GPU and so on and you're good to go. I don't really get the problem
also
build? i was thinking pre-built, then i can switch out the parts over time as i get more money
Its a shitty all in one I snagged for cheap back in 2016 that isnt even for gaming, major overheating problems recently I think the CPU just melted
I was already going to replace it this year but its going to have to happen a bit earlier
Don't you mean < ?
>PC won't boot
Probably a Windows update, if it wasn't then try taking out the CMOS battery and boot a new Windows or Linux USB to see if it's working.
The last time I passed a math class was 2nd grade (actually it might've been 1st).
Whatever the symbol for 'less than' is.
All I want to know is whether or not buying a decent computer and gradually upgrading it into a good computer is a good idea.
Yes or no.
it's a computer, fix it you stupid fuck
with how technologically illiterate you sound, either find a pc repair guy to at least diagnose what's broken and replace those parts, or buy a 700$ pc like you intend to if you can't be bothered
I can't!
I refuse, my half-assed attempt at fixing it failed and then it died.
I really cant be bothered, I'll buy the PC.
then go buy a ps4
just go steal one bro
Considering you haven't posted your specs I'm going to assume it's a shit PC and you're best off getting new parts.
I was going to delete the thread after posting this but I forgot about Zig Forums's thread deletion time.
Know that I've left this thread to rot (as I did my beloved computer)
Its an absolutely horrible computer.
X570 mobo
Ryzen 3900X or dirt cheap Ryzen 1600AF/3300X now and upgrade to 4900X later
Slap in your existing graphic card and storage and power supply into it
Done.
You be set for the next gen from this, you'll only need to replace the GPU and a gen 4 NVME SSD when it's gonna be mandatory.
Done.
it can be done but a prebuilt will generally be fitted with the shittiest motherboard/psu/ram they can find and get away with without the pc dying in the first 6 months. So if you upgrade you will have to change all of that anyway.
3700x would be more than enough
You can do that too
Buy a Sandy Bridge to Haswell Dell/HP shitbox for $100
Drop a GeForce 1650 in it or replace the PSU and get a RX570
Decent gaming rig $250
You are fucking retard OP, get a console if you are so braindead and eager to buy whole new PC when something goes wrong.
his "new" computer will still die in the first year then he will throw it away and post the same fucking thread here.
The same thing happened to me. I just bought a PS4 and a year of PSNow, I'm going to burn through whatever games are available and then sell it once I get my parts together.
The 1650 alone is like $200-250 (CAD)
i would never fucking buy a prebuilt
