Yes, in fact, you play as Kiryu for only a couple of hours.
You played 3 games as Kiryu before this, why the fuck do you need so much of him? This is why the series has turned into even more fanservice-y bullshit with the creators being unable to completely ditch Kiryu, because whenever they try to mindless NPCs kick a shitfit.

>Yes, in fact, you play as Kiryu for only a couple of hours.
Thank, I am going to delete the game now. I wish ps would have a refund system like steam.

Thanks for the money.

Akiyama is fine. Just don't get filtered by his "Rape? You? Hahaha..." line, and enjoy the different perspectives on the story. Besides, the other characters are there for variety. You like variety, don't you?

Why the fuck wouldn't you want to play as Akiyama? Its better than being forced to play as Haruka and deal with all the idolshit in 5

Akiyama's great, give him a chance

Thought the same, and he became my favorite character

Why exactly are you mad at playing the best character in the series?

STFU 0fag.
I swear this fanbase has gone even more to shit with the release of 0 on PC

Don't listen these fags they are dumb as fuck.

>You played 3 games as Kiryu before this, why the fuck do you need so much of him?
You are dumb
>play any cod game
>you are the hero, the badass
>in a next cod game you are a janitor

>dude lmao I give you money if you complete the test
>best character

>"Rape? You? Hahaha..." line
Bad news for you user, they censored it in the remaster

You're the only fag here. Go back so you can discuss how Majima should have his own game

>why the fuck do you need so much of him?
Because he's sexy.

>>in a next cod game you are a janitor
You're shitposting, right?

Yes, Akiyama is genuinely one of the best characters. If you don't like him and Super Chunk after a couple of hours I don't know what to say.

OP here. I was interested in the story of kyriu, and his life, also the kids.
Not a prick. So far I got to a part where he forced a woman to whore herself out..

Kids aren't part of anything until 6 and they're mainly only part of the beginning couple hours. They're mentioned in some of Haruka's substories in 5 but pretend anything that happened in 3 didn't happen because the rest of the games after it don't. Especially Nakahara since his existence would solve a majority of the issues Kiryu faces in 5 and 6.

4 was specifically about introducing new characters into the series with Akiyama, Saejima, and Tanimura which is why the game starts you out as Akiyama. Seriously though, do some of his substories because it helps flesh him out and gives Hina a lot more time in the story, but the main story does a good job of doing that as well because they wanted to start out on a new foot basically.

Sorry, I meant it gives Hana a lot more time. She's genuinely a great person for Akiyama's lackadaisical nature.

Stop assaulting that poor woman with the power of dance.

terrible bait, Akiyama is miles ahead of Kiryu and I like them both

haha filtered by best boi

I still cant get it why is this a good thing. It is like the fourth harry potter book would be totally about a different person in roxfort.

Context?

That's not what it's like at all, you stupid faggot.
It's not like Kiryu's just fucking gone.
That's Yakuza 7.

Kiryu is still playable in 4 and 5, the only playable character in 6, and he's still at the center of the plot in all three.
Stop bitching about shit you don't know fuck about.

>also the kids
No you weren't, you fucking liar. Haruka, maybe. The kids? Who the fuck even were the kids? Fat, Nerd, Black, and Bitch?

>"The decision to take the multi-character narrative approach was to challenge ourselves with new storytelling devices to enhance our game design," Noguchi told Joystiq.

>>The game's story is now told from four playable characters as opposed to one. Was this an idea you've wanted to do for a while?
>"Yes, it was something that I have wanted to try for a while. In general, I've always wanted to do a game where you play multiple playable characters. Since I'm working on this one right now, and things seemed to have turned out well with this [series], I thought that was a good time to test this idea."

Even with all this Kiryu is playable as the last character in 4 and the first character in 5. He's even the only playable character in 6 though Akiyama is basically his main confidant in 6.

Hana calls up Akiyama and tells him thugs were either near Sky Finance or the police were near, I can't remember which. Then she tells him she was worried and "What if they rape me?" and he pulls out the "Rape? You? Hahahaha." joke. It helps because up until that point he was mainly just a lazy guy but from that point he becomes a bit of a comedian, and then he also has a bunch of serious moments including serious moments with Hana. You also get to see how much he cares for Hana constantly so it's basically him just poking fun at someone he loves for who she is.

4 is the best game though

4 had the best cast. 5 was ass. They literally drop you in the forest for Cabelas Nippon Adventure for an entire chapter.
>That final climb when all four protags show up in suits and then get their own final boss each on top of the skyscraper
Kino

He also got the best bakamitai version

>Implying Shinada isn't way better than Tanimura even though Tanimura is fantastic when he pairs up with Akiyama.

which is better 3,4 or 5?

>>That final climb when all four protags show up in suits and then get their own final boss each on top of the skyscraper
I already liked 4 before I had gotten to that point but that scene in particular skyrocketed it to the top for me.
Never seen someone else specifically point out that scene before for how great it is.

It's one of my favorite scenes in the series up there with basically every Kuze encounter

He was really good too

Was it weird for anyone else that Daigo, Majima and Saejima are completely MIA during the entirety of Yakuza 6?
>uh they're arrested
I dunno man feels kinda cheap to me
It's just strange that the finale of Kiryu's story lacked almost the entire central recurring cast
From what I understand the actor who played Tanimura originally got busted for drugs, so I understand why he's never seen again, but I couldn't help but feel his absence, especially when so much of 6 revolved around Little Asia.
This gets hammered home real good with all the direct parallels to Y4 like dressing up for the final confrontation.

Also strange that Joji was never even mentioned again after 3. I mean that was a weird plot element to begin with but still.

I fucking hated playing as Shinada

>Was it weird for anyone else that Daigo, Majima and Saejima are completely MIA during the entirety of Yakuza 6?
>>uh they're arrested
>I dunno man feels kinda cheap to me
welcome to every yakuza plot after 2
0 being a prequel let them do some things for once

>Game about Kiryu
>It's supposed to be his last game as MC
>Here are all these nobodies
No one ever said the Yakuza writers were smart.

>Was it weird for anyone else that Daigo, Majima and Saejima are completely MIA during the entirety of Yakuza 6?
Absolutely, I genuinely can't understand why they did it. You have Kiryu's final game and the only major characters that are helping him out are Akiyama and Date? Really? They're definitely some of his closest friends but even a lot of substory characters don't even come back outside of Saigo and Sodachi (Two people he never met), Amon, and PCF. Nakahara alone could have solved the vast majority of Haruka's paparazzi issues let alone Kiryu's debt issues from 5 yet he's completely absent despite being Kiryu's sworn brother.
>the actor who played Tanimura originally got busted for drugs
Nah, it's far more complicated than that. His "friend" took a picture of him making one of those "Create your own candy" kits Japan has and passed it off as Tanimura doing drugs. Tanimura got a bunch of checks which proved he never did it, the pictures proved it was just candy, and he spent ages clearing his name, but he hated how essentially all of the Japanese entertainment industry turned against him and even though his name was cleared it wasn't going to be the same and he basically quit outright after that. I think his "friend" got fired and dragged through the coals for the lie as well?
>but I couldn't help but feel his absence, especially when so much of 6 revolved around Little Asia.
At least now he can come back considering the recast. I'm fully expecting him to partner up with Yagami in some manner in the next Judgment game, maybe even throw a little Date in there.
>I fucking hated playing as Shinada
He's definitely rough to play as but as a character he's great despite being divorced from the main story almost entirely. I would have loved to have seen a Shinada game fleshed out more and with a better implementation of weapons considering his weapon master style.

Yet another 0fag making shit threads getting filtered by the real Yakuza games. Fuck off zoom zoom.

Fucking this. I kist wanted to manage my orphanage, and I had to play with light version of majima. Fucking bullshot.

I platinumed every Yakuza game, what the fuck is this? Is this Dead Souls?

>I platinumed every Yakuza game
Evidently not. Yes, it's Majima's final boss in Dead Souls before you switch over to Ryuji.

PCF's was my favorite substory in Y6. It was weird how much I cared about such a minor character.

Do we have any word on a Judgment sequel?
