Fantastic game, plenty of flaws. Bad menus, bad handheld graphics, grindy gacha, horribly directed dub, etc.

One of the few masterpieces in the past 10 years. Best JRPG gameplay ever and it isn't even close. Best worlds as well.
Xenoblade 2 gets it right. Plenty of party members and a systemic battle system where you can focus on whichever aspect of combat your blade is good at.
Multiple smaller open worlds, each with multiple day/night tracks and cities you can see from a distance.

How companies still have the confidence to make a JRPG after XC2 is beyond me.

The gacha system was a retarded inclusion, great game otherwise.

This.

flawed masterpiece

Disgusting weebshit characters and animations tuned to eleven ruins anything good the game has going for it.

+some cool level design/environments
+some hot grills
-cloud diving is a qte
-cloud tides underutilized enough
-convoluted combat system is poorly explained
-pointlessly bloated progression systems
-field abilities are all bland menu based stat checks
-party based even though you can only control two characters at a time, I guess Monolith is retarded and thinks all RPGs need to have parties?
-handheld performance
-MOVIES MOVIES MOVIES MOVIES

I sort of agree but I think Mira was way more interesting than the titans in Xeno2.
The Combat in X is also much better.

But as an over all package Xeno2 is miles above X.

It looks so fucking ugly and braindead holy shit

It is a complicated battle system, but once you’ve mastered it it’s really fun

>It is a complicated battle system
You say that like it's a bad thing.

Gameplay is fucking shit everything is alright though.

The gameplay is the best part, pleb. Both the combat and exploration are top tier ludo.

I literally said I enjoyed it in the same post. Once you get the orb thing down it’s pretty satisfying.

Every single Xeno game is a flawed masterpiece

How about something in the middle?

No, Xenosaga II is just bad.

Gacha. No one can defend that shit

Pure kino

Like all games it has flaws. But it is an enjoyable experience... Though Rex is fucking annoying as hell, which sucks because the English voices are decent but he for some reason sounds so forced

I liked it

Why would you?

-standardize the story character designs so they look like they're from the same game
-field skills should be able to to be used from blades not equipped
just fix those and give the game a better translation. blushy crushy? aegis? my ass.

also the gacha was a bit strange. you basically got just commons or 5 stars. like yeah the commons had more star tiers but they all had the shitty common designs.

LET'S SHOW 'EM A THING OR THREE

In the top 10 Switch games and one of the best JRPGs of the last decade. Still heavily flawed.

They're fun.

I enjoyed both games, but 2 definitely had more soul than 1. It works was far more fun to explore and it was more beautiful to look at.

I'M REALLY FEELING IT

This.
